Story
Rocky came to animal control as a stray, and the owner couldn't afford to take care of him anymore, so he was surrendered. He came with some flea allergy skin issues, but we took care of that quickly. He was immediately friendly with everyone, and we also found that he is very dog friendly.. He is very curious about other dogs, and his tail begins wagging... and it's playtime! We pulled Rocky from the shelter as he was scheduled for euthanasia due to space, and we began his vetting. We found that he was heartworm positive but has completed the series and it now on preventative medicine. He is with a foster during this time that truly love him but want to see him go to his furever home. You will not find a sweeter, happier dog than Rocky! He loves the outdoors. long walks, car rides and belly rubs. Rocky will also be neutered prior to adoption. As many dogs do, Rocky will chase cats, so no cats in the home please!

Story
Disclaimer: I'm currently soaking up the Texas sun, but the great news is that I can be transported to my forever home once adopted, and the transport fee is $230.My journey began when I was surrendered, along with my four precious puppies, because my family couldn't provide the care I needed. I'm a bundle of energy and an incredible jumper! My foster mom thinks I have all the potential to excel in agility training courses. While I absolutely adore the company of other dogs, I'm not a fan of being on my own, so a home with a calmer dog would be a perfect fit to help me settle. I'm a social butterfly who cherishes my human companions and still carries that puppy-like spirit in my heart. In my previous home, I was raised alongside three children, aged 8 to 16, so I'm sure to thrive in an energetic family environment. If you're looking for a furry friend who's ready to embark on adventures with you, look no further. Apply today and let's make a fantastic team!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Welcome Marcos to CCPAL Rescue. Marcos is a 13-week-old Border Collie mix. He is the one in the litter that looks most like the girls in the litter. He is black white and tan and is calmer than both of the white Border Collies in this litter. The momma dog is a pure-bred Border Collie and she is a farm dog that herds goats. Marcos was born on a farm. Marcos is one of the smaller boy pups in the litter. All the boys are bigger than the girls. He and the girls are the least active pups. These pups should be 40-45 pounds full grown is our best estimate. The other parent is a mystery. The momma is a farm dog and herds the goats. Marcos has medium length coat and it is nice and soft. The pups like water, are affectionate and smart. They were good getting their bath and Marcos is quiet when you pick him up and has the most beautiful coat and eyes. He has the longer coat like the Border Collie. He is smart and will be a fun boy to train. We would like someone who has owned the working breed or a border collie. People who have had a BC do love this breed. He is good in his litter playing and is less energetic than the white boy dogs. Today he got his first round of vaccines and his Nexgard. He will then be neutered and ready for his new home. He will be loved on by the kennel workers here at the shelter until he finds his new home. He was turned in by the person that had the female mother Border Collie. These pups are precious and would be fine with children or other dogs. We like the children to be 8 or older. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See his cute video!!

Story
This sweet face was pulled from a kill shelter with her brother on their last day. Both pups are affectionate and snuggly. They love playing with toys and giving kisses, they also like to play in water. Zoey has lots of energy, but also loves to snuggle alot, she's a ppl dog, she is very smart and curious. She appears to be house trained and crate trained. Though she came in with her brother she is really not fond of playing with other dogs, she'd rather just be with you. If interested in meeting Zoey please email us for an application.

Story
This special girl was rescued out of a greenbelt ditch with her sisters. Feral and scared to death, they were eventually caught and brought to us. Both girls would not let us touch them for the first few weeks, then progress began. Not 100% trusting of humans so a special home is needed; experienced with feral dogs, quiet, no kids, not alot of visitors or sudden changes. Reyna needs to trust her person and not be expected to be perfect. She is a flight risk. New things, new noises and people make her a uneasy. She gives great hugs and kisses to our staff but that is after 5 years of rehab. She walks well on a leash, loves other dogs, loves toys and blankets, and would love to be in a home to keep her safe. If you have the patience and love, in a non-changing environment for Reyna needs give us a call for more details.

Not trusting of humans she needs a special home; experienced with feral dogs, quiet, no kids, not alot of visitors or sudden changes. She needs to trust her person and not be expected to be perfect, affectionate or play. She walks well on a leash, loves other dogs, loves toys, and would love to be just be a dog. If you have the patience and love Issa needs give us a call, she may never be that snuggly, go-fetch girl but she is very goofy in her own way.
