Story

Reese came to us as an owner turn. He was a Christmas present to children and shortly after showed up at the ER with a broken leg. When the owners could not afford to fix it they were going to euthanize him. The staff at the clinic couldn't have that and contacted us. Once out of his medical foster home he came to our shelter and now awaits his second chance. He is a very active boy, loves to play with toys, plays fetch and does well with other dogs, he does love his belly rubs and giving kisses. Meet Mystic 💫 Mystic’s story started in a tough place—she came to us with five tiny, one-day-old puppies, all covered in fleas. Despite everything, she was an incredible mama. Now that all of her babies have found their forever homes, it’s finally Mystic’s turn. She’s also had a damaged eye removed and has healed beautifully, ready to start her next chapter. Mystic is about 1 year old and weighs 23 pounds—a perfect medium-small size. She’s mostly Border Collie and Chihuahua, with a whole mix of other breeds that make her completely one-of-a-kind. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow, Mystic is your girl. She’s a total velcro pup who loves being close to her person and will happily settle at your feet just to be near you. She’s affectionate, devoted, and thrives on that connection. Mystic gets along great with other dogs and loves a good game of chase. She’s also passed her cat test! This sweet girl was pulled from a high kill shelter with her sister right before the cold weather hit. The facility reached out to us and we couldn't say no. A cold kennel was no place for a 7 lb puppy. The girls are so sweet and affectionate, they love toys and love to snuggle. Aspen loves her belly rubbed while she lies in your lap. She is also a very active little girl and would make a great companion for that active person. But she promises to be a couch potato as needed too. This sweet boy was pulled from death row at animal control. He and his sister didn't have much time left. Vinnie has a very kind personality, skittish at first but will warm up when he gets to know you. He is a bit frightened of being touched or held so you just have to work with his terms. He will allow affection, but on his terms and when he is in the mood. We assume he did not receive much affection or care, if at all, but he still is just waiting on his forever home to love. Vinnie does like other dogs, loves toys, seems to be crate trained a bit. Vinnie is a great boy, with so much potential in the right home, he would probably do best in a quiet home without small children and he IS a flight risk, and will need an experience adopter. We hope that you will give him a chance.
