Story
Meet Mr. Johnny – Your Loyal Ranch Hand in Fur! 🐾🐄 Mr. Johnny is a 5-year-old ranch-raised sweetheart with a heart as big as the Texas sky. This handsome boy was trained to work cattle and takes his job seriously—herding them from pasture to pasture and keeping a watchful eye to make sure everyone is safe and well-fed. He’s the kind of dog who thrives outdoors, happiest when the sun’s on his back and the land stretches out around him. Johnny is incredibly friendly with people and gets along great with other dogs. He’s currently undergoing heartworm treatment using the gentle, slow-kill method and is no longer contagious. He’s still got plenty of life and love to give! Important Notes: Johnny is not a fan of cats (he’ll chase them!) and chickens are a no-go (he sees them as snacks 😬). But if you’ve got a ranch or country property and are looking for a loyal companion who knows his way around livestock, Mr. Johnny just might be your perfect partner. 📍 Currently located in Texas and ready to ride off to his next great adventure—hopefully with you.

Story
It is with a heavy heart and a long time thinking I have decided to rehome Izzy. Izabella is an adorable dog with lots of energy and since I travel quite a bit I have no longer been able to sustain having a dog. Izzy is a kennel trained dog and enjoys throwing the ball and frisbee. She currently lives with two teens and two cats and is primarily by my side most days when I'm not traveling while I work on my computer. Izzy would be really happy with someone who is active and likes to go on long walks/runs and play ball. She is a herding dog by nature and does well at dog parks off leash. Please contact me if you would like to meet her. Thanks, Christy

Story
We found this sweet sweet boy at Onion Creek park hiding under a tree for shade. We brought him food and water and took him home. He is a cuddle bug and loves playing with toys and other dogs. It’s best to introduce him outside with other dogs first as he gets really excited and could overwhelm the other dog. He loves food and treats and loves to play. We put a diaper on him sometimes just bc I am a rover sitter with a lot of dogs going in and out, and he typically marks as a simple territory instinct. We would keep him if we could afford him; I unfortunately have a really old senior dog and lots of dogs going in and out with rover. He does great in a car and loves his walks. This special loving boy was dumped and all he wants is a loving playful home.

Story
Boone is our 7 year old Border Collie. He has lived a good life on our family farm with our 5 kids. My husband died suddenly two years ago and I’ve had to move off the farm. I hate having to do this, but would like to find him a place that fits his needs more than I can during this transition. He is a very very friendly boy, loves being outside, going on walks. He gets anxious if little kids get in his face or pulls on him, but he is good around a little older kids as he has lived close to our 5 children since he was 4 months old. I believe Boone would be best for someone who is use to having dogs, has a little more space for him to stretch out. Would not Be great for apartment living or a space with a tiny yard. Ideally, he would be adopted by someone with a little land. He is good with other dogs, cats and raised with a mix of farm animals. He is prone to herding things, typical for his breed. Scared during thunder storms and wants to be inside, is crate trained.
