This handsome boy was trained to work cattle and takes his job seriously—herding them from pasture to pasture and keeping a watchful eye to make sure everyone is safe and well-fed. He’s the kind of dog who thrives outdoors, happiest when the sun’s on his back and the land stretches out around him. Johnny is incredibly friendly with people and gets along great with other dogs. He’s currently undergoing heartworm treatment using the gentle, slow-kill method and is no longer contagious. He’s still got plenty of life and love to give! Important Notes: Johnny is not a fan of cats (he’ll chase them!) and chickens are a no-go (he sees them as snacks 😬). Mollie is a very sweet old lady whose previous owner passed away three years ago. She has been staying with me since then, but I have recently moved to a third floor apartment which does not meet her needs. Mollie struggles with the three flights of stairs multiple times a day and needs a home with a backyard or dog door where she can take care of her needs at a rate more frequently than I am able to provide with our current set up. She is loyal, gets along with cats and dogs after an introduction, and really just wants to follow you around and sleep most of the day. Like many old dogs who can’t see as well anymore, she does not care for people who are very tall or who wear hats. She gets along fine with children/ignores them, but really loves the elderly/other seniors like her. She loves going anywhere in the car.
