Story
Finn has been a wonderful, laid back pup who loves walks, hikes, & laying around the house. He is about 7 years old and very calm natured. We adopted him Colorado and have owned him since 2019. We are not able to give him the life he deserves at this point in our lives and wanted to see if there is a better fit out there for him to live out the later years of his life. I am happy to give more information to an interested adopter.

Story
Name: Rebel Age: 11 months Breed: Border Collie mix Size: 45 lbs Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Rebel is an 11-month-old Border Collie mix with energy to spare and a personality that’s as big as his zoomies. Rebel was an owner surrender due to his owner being older and not being able to handle him being such an active dog. True to his name, he’s always ready for action—whether that’s chasing a ball, learning a new trick, or turning the yard into his personal playground. Smart and alert, Rebel thrives when his mind and body stay busy. Rebel will do very well with people who understand his breed and can give him ways to exert all of his expendable energy. He is the type of dog that would do well with a job. This bright young pup would love a home that enjoys an active lifestyle and can keep up with his enthusiasm for adventure. Border Collie mixes are known for their intelligence, and Rebel is no exception—he’s eager to learn and ready to impress with the right guidance and positive training. Rebel is still growing into the amazing dog he’s meant to be and would shine with a family ready to channel his energy into fun, learning, and plenty of playtime. Reble already knows basic commands and would definitely be able to learn more advanced commands. If you’re looking for a lively sidekick who will keep life exciting, Rebel is ready to lead the charge. 🐾 Rebel's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports! --> If you are interested in adopting Rebel please fill out our online application here: (https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 - Dog). A staff member will reach out if your application is approved to discuss the adoption process. No fenced in yard required, and YES - we adopt to families with children! The adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. For further information, please first fill out the application referenced above. **Due to import regulations we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.

Story
Summers County Humane Society This sweet girl's world has been turned upside down. Her owner passed away and she was left alone. Meet Mavis! Female | Border Collie Mix | 7 years old | 60 lbs | Fixed Mavis is a sweetheart with a heart overflowing with love. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and is gentle with cats, giving them the space they need. She embodies the classic Border Collie traits of gentleness and loyalty. She is a loving, easygoing, and devoted companion, ready to illuminate your life with her presence. She has shown some jealousy of other pets while in foster care, particularly other female dogs. We would love to see her go to a home with only male dogs, but if you have females - we can do a meet and greet! If you’re seeking a loyal, affectionate best friend to brighten your journey, Mavis is your perfect match! https://www.acwp-wv.org/forms/acwp-adoption-application Please help Mavis find her forever home. Please sponsor me! The only place we accept sponsor donations is via our website at http://www.acwp-wv.org - please go there and click Donate if you wish to sponsor one of our pets.
