Story
Hi, my name is Junior! I am a bit of a nervous boy, so I will need a patient owner who can go slow with me as I reveal my sweet, cuddly side. I was brought to the shelter after my owner passed away, so there have been a lot of big changes in my life, which can be scary for a dog like me, but I'm a marshmallow under this gruff exterior. I get along with some other dogs and cats, and I am housetrained, crate trained, and like car rides! Come meet me today!

Story
Jasmine is a gentle girl who has never know what it’s like to have a family or what it’s like to be a dog.She was one of dozens of dogs tied up on a property where “ accidental “ puppies randomly happened and she came to live with her FOCCAS foster along with her three puppies. Her puppies moved out and she is slowly beginning to trust. She’s super sweet and wants to be a part of what is going on. Broken dogs take a while to heal but she is ready to accept that change and has came a long way in her journey. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Name: Rebel Age: 11 months Breed: Border Collie mix Size: 45 lbs Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Rebel is an 11-month-old Border Collie mix with energy to spare and a personality that’s as big as his zoomies. Rebel was an owner surrender due to his owner being older and not being able to handle him being such an active dog. True to his name, he’s always ready for action—whether that’s chasing a ball, learning a new trick, or turning the yard into his personal playground. Smart and alert, Rebel thrives when his mind and body stay busy. Rebel will do very well with people who understand his breed and can give him ways to exert all of his expendable energy. He is the type of dog that would do well with a job. This bright young pup would love a home that enjoys an active lifestyle and can keep up with his enthusiasm for adventure. Border Collie mixes are known for their intelligence, and Rebel is no exception—he’s eager to learn and ready to impress with the right guidance and positive training. Rebel is still growing into the amazing dog he’s meant to be and would shine with a family ready to channel his energy into fun, learning, and plenty of playtime. Reble already knows basic commands and would definitely be able to learn more advanced commands. If you’re looking for a lively sidekick who will keep life exciting, Rebel is ready to lead the charge. 🐾 Rebel's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports! --> If you are interested in adopting Rebel please fill out our online application here: (https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 - Dog). A staff member will reach out if your application is approved to discuss the adoption process. No fenced in yard required, and YES - we adopt to families with children! The adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. For further information, please first fill out the application referenced above. **Due to import regulations we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.

Story
At just 8 weeks old, Patsy has already overcome more than any puppy should. Found alone as a stray by animal control, this sweet little Border Collie/Lab mix could have had a very different story — but instead, Patsy has shown everyone around her just how full of love and trust her tiny heart truly is. Patsy is the kind of puppy who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Her gentle, affectionate personality makes it impossible not to fall in love with her. She loves playing with her foster siblings and learning how much fun it is to just be a puppy. Because she is still so young, Patsy would adapt beautifully to almost any home environment. Whether you are a family with children, another playful dog, or someone looking for a loyal companion to grow with, Patsy is ready to become part of your life and your heart. Like any young puppy, Patsy is still working on her crate and potty training, but she is eager to learn and thrives with patience, love, and consistency. We expect her to grow to around 50 pounds when fully grown. Patsy’s past may have started with uncertainty, but her future deserves to be filled with safety, happiness, and a family who will love her forever. Could that family be yours? Patsy has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated for her current age. Since they are not yet neutered, Patsy is not available for adoption outside of the counties contiguous to Bedford County. Story
Bunny is a hard pup to decide on breed. We are not at all sure what she is. We are guessing Border Collie/Lab mix? She has a little head and skinny legs. She is very cute and fast. She's approximately 3 months old, and 20 pounds. We're not sure if she will be much bigger than a medium size. She is learning to be crate/potty trained. She still has a few accidents in her kennel. She loves to play and can be little rough with puppies smaller than her. She can be a total love bug once she gets her energy out. We think she's not a good choice for young children, because she does not know personal space. She was picked up as a stray and needs a new start in life. Bedford Humane Society has gotten her up to date medically, including her spay. Bunny has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, is too young to test for heartworms but has started on heartworm preventatives and on flea/tick preventative. Bunny's microchip will be registered in her new owner's name by BHS. For more information, please visit our website at www.bhsva.org to fill out an adoption application.
