Story
Meet Dancer 💫 | 1-Year-Old Border Collie Mix Dancer is a quiet soul with a gentle heart — the kind of dog who watches the world carefully before deciding it’s safe to step forward. This sweet 1-year-old Border Collie mix is a timid little girl who is still learning that the world isn’t a big, scary place. New sights, sounds, and situations can feel overwhelming for her, and she looks to her people for reassurance that everything is okay. With a calm presence and kind encouragement, Dancer gains confidence one small victory at a time. While we don’t know much about her past, we do know who she is at her core: loving, affectionate, and deeply comforted by closeness. Dancer adores cuddling and being near her person — it’s where she feels safest. When she’s beside you, her worries melt away, and you’ll see her true self begin to shine. On leash, Dancer does well, sticking close and moving thoughtfully through the world. She just needs gentle reminders that passing cars, new people, and unfamiliar noises aren’t monsters — just part of the journey. A patient home that understands confidence-building will help her blossom into a dog who feels secure and brave. Dancer is looking for someone who will move at her pace, celebrate the small wins, and show her every day that she’s safe, loved, and never alone. If you believe the best relationships are built slowly, with trust and tenderness — Dancer is waiting for you. 💛  If you think you would be my perfect forever home, my friends would love to hear from you!  Contact them at: info@handsnpawswa.org  Health & Safety  All our animals are: Microchipped Up to date on vaccines Dewormed and flea treated Spayed/neutered and given rabies shots (if age appropriate) FELV/FIV testing available upon request (at adopter’s expense)  Where to Find Me  Our pets are located in foster homes, Hands 'N Paws Othello Shelter, or at PetSmart in Union Gap.  Adoption Process First come, first served unless a hold is placed Holds require a $25 non-refundable fee per pet or full adoption fee Holds last up to 7 days After 7 days, unclaimed pets and fees are considered donations  Adoption Fees  Listed under each pet’s photo on their biography page.

Story
These two deserve a better life, and their human parents have admitted it to themselves. A new baby and a five-year-old( just too much). Willow and Panthro spend too much time in their crates. :( Willow is 3.5 years old and a lab/pittie mix. Panthro is a year old (almost.... DOB is 12/20/23) and is a border collie/husky mix. They are very bonded...... love to play, sunbathe, toys, sweet and loveable! These two love to play, but they also can switch off their engines quickly and just chill. They are crate and house-trained and do fine with kids and strangers but not with kitties. Do you want only one dog but two and want a guarantee they'll get along? Here's your pair! And increasingly, we are doing FOSTER TO ADOPT options! That’s where you and puppers make sure you’re a good fit for one another before signing on “the dotted line”….. it’s a win-win for everyone! Just ask your adoption counselor about how this works. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in adopting this or another POPP dog? Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://www.popptricities.org/adopt/adoption-questionnaire-canine/ If you have any questions. please E-mail us at dogsadopt@popptricities.org. ADOPTION PACKAGES: Our adoption fee for both pups is $300 ($150 each.... but yes, they need to stay together!) includes two lovable, non-judgmental canine companions, and a free vet exam. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Your adoption fee helps support POPP and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

Story
Born approx. June 2020, Edwinn is a male Border Collie. He came to us afraid of the outside world and lacking confidence. He has made marked improvements in his foster home and is now ready to find his forever family. Edwinn is potty and crate trained. He is happiest when he is with his people and other dogs, for this reason, we will require Edwinn goes to a home with another confident dog to continue giving him guidance and reassurance. We also are seeking a cat free home for him. Edwinn's forever home must have a secure 6 foot fence and one that will keep him active and mentally stimulated, breed experience is a huge bonus. Edwinn will do best in a home with adults or adults and kids over 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Connor is ready for a home of his own! This boy is was born December 2018 and is a Border Collie mix. Connor struggles with insecurities and has a hard time meeting new people-but let me tell you that once you’ve made his “friends list” it’s for life! He will never let you down or leave you alone 😂😂 Connor would do well with a confident canine companion but would also be fine as an only dog. While he currently lives with dog savvy cats, he may not do well with new feline friends. Connor is not a dog that will ever enjoy going to dog parks, outdoor eateries, etc. That's not his scene. He prefers being with his family at home. He's an introvert's dream dog! 😉 He needs a calmer home with structure and routine, for this reason, a home without young children is best. Connor is potty, leash, and crate trained. He is still working on basic commands like sit, down, etc. He loves chew toys and treats. He will play tug-o-war but hasn't mastered fetch. We do require home ownership and a 6 foot fenced yard-no children under age 10. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Meet Rainy 🌧️ | 5-Month-Old Australian Shepherd Mix (aka “The Worm”) If love could wiggle, it would look exactly like Rainy. Rainy is a 5-month-old Australian Shepherd mix who has earned the affectionate nickname “the worm” — not because she’s sneaky, but because when she loves you, she worms her entire body toward you. Belly low, tail wagging, whole body in motion, Rainy greets the world with pure devotion and an open heart. She is incredibly loving and deeply submissive, always eager to please and happiest when she’s close to her people. Sometimes her excitement gets the best of her — she’s been known to do a little happy piddle when she just can’t contain how thrilled she is to see you. It’s not bad manners, it’s just a baby dog with a heart too big for her body. Rainy loves to play and explore, but her favorite place will always be right by your side. Whether you’re walking from room to room or settling in for quiet time, she wants to be included in every moment. She’s the kind of pup who makes you feel chosen. With other animals, Rainy is still learning. New friends can make her unsure at first, but she’s doing the important work of discovering her confidence and learning how to set healthy boundaries. With continued socialization, patience, and guidance, she’s only going to grow into a well-rounded, emotionally intelligent dog. Rainy is still very much a puppy — sweet, impressionable, and full of potential. She’s looking for a home that will nurture her confidence, laugh at her wiggles, and help her grow into the incredible companion she’s meant to be. If you’re ready for unconditional love, constant companionship, and a dog who will happily follow you anywhere (possibly wiggling the whole way)… Rainy is waiting for you. 🐾💕 If you think you would be my perfect forever home, my friends would love to hear from you!
