**If you`re interested in meeting, please fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet and we will be in touch to schedule an appointment**Parker is a 52 pound female sweetheart with a wonderful, well rounded personality. She’s hyper and playful when it’s time for fun, but she’s just as happy to curl up on the couch for cuddles. Parker absolutely LOVES kids and thrives in a home where she can soak up affection and attention. She prefers to be the only pet in the household, as sharing her space isn’t her favorite thing, but she’s generally indifferent toward dogs she meets outside the home. With her mix of energy, sweetness, and snuggle-ability, Parker is ready to be the center of someone’s world.

Story
Lucky is a very sweet boy who is still getting used to life in general. If you are looking for an outgoing and confident pup ready to take on the world, Lucky is not going to be your dog. If you are looking for a gentle, playful, easy-going and loving pup, Lucky might be your dog. Lucky just needs someone who has the time and patience to develop his confidence and mold him into the great dog that he will be. Lucky is about 7 months old and had only ever been an outside dog until he came to us; he presently prefers to be outside. He is most content to explore the backyard and be out with everyone as they do chores and yard work. He can come to his name and sit. He seems to really enjoy following the lead of and playing with confident dogs. He has gone on a few short walks alongside his foster’s dog and loves sniffing and exploring. He has been good with cats and reported to be good with horses. He takes time and multiple slow interactions to warm up to new people, but is super snuggly, appreciative, attention seeking, and loving once he does. Lucky currently sleeps in a crate just inside the foster’s backdoor. He has access to explore the house but has shown no interest in that so far. He goes to the bathroom outside, but due to not coming into the house (so far and by choice) there has been no opportunity to know how well that will translate to being fully potty trained. Lucky has been making great progress as he gets used to his surroundings and people in the home. Initially, he will sit back, observe, and sniff from a distance in his new surroundings. When he gets nervous, goes into his crate or hides in the bushes around the yard. He will pee submissively, both when he is nervous and when he is happy. This has improved as he has become more comfortable with his new surroundings. Experience with timid dogs or willingness to do some professional training will be helpful. He has been most responsive to a predictable routine, a quieter household, giving him some space and time to take things in, and confident, positive leadership. Lucky is reported to be a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix and presently weighs about 30 pounds. He was born on November 13, 2025. Lucky is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. He is being fostered in Hood River, Oregon and his adoption fee is $400. If you are pre-approved and interested in adopting Lucky, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com. Story
Rex is an energetic and intelligent Border Collie looking for an active home that can keep up with his adventurous spirit. True to his breed, he's smart, athletic, and loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. He enjoys walks/runs & playtime. Rex is potty trained, though he may have an occasional accident when he gets overly excited. He can be vocal and alert, often barking at new sights and sounds. He is also very mouthy when seeking attention, which is a common herding breed trait. But because this can be misunderstood as biting, we recommend a home without young children. Rex also gets along well with most dogs, especially female dogs. He would benefit from a slow introduction to any resident male dogs. He is currently recovering from a pelvic injury and still has a slight limp from time to time, though it has improved significantly. Rex would thrive with an experienced owner who understands Border Collie traits and can provide plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. In return, you'll get a loyal, fun-loving companion who's ready for his next adventure! If you are interested in meeting Rex, please contact his foster parent via TEXT: Nichol 808-419-1495

Story
https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ That is the link to apply to adopt Another You tube of Taco https://youtu.be/V5HhWBTYn5I?si=8muEzGvKqSUhyz8- Taco is a great dog, with excellent recall (likely be easily trained to be off leash). When you call him he comes to you! Fantastic recall even if he hardly knows you! He has longer hair that is spotted on his neck and legs and 4 white feet which is common with border collies. He is with a different foster right now as his first foster (whom Taco did great with the two dogs and two cats needed to leave town, His current foster has this to say about him (and that her dog she adores isn't as wonderfully behaved as Taco! TACO is a people-bonding dog and is patient as we get ready to go out the door for an adventure or to see what his person(s) does next. He is great in the car, hops right in and stays in his place, usually lying down. He shares well with another dog as he has shown in his foster homes - the car, toys, treats. Taco will also happily entertain himself with some fun good chew toys in or out of his crate and is completely perfectly quiet in his crate. He will happily sleep there or with you in your bed! He is very flexible. When he plays he hops and can play and entertain himself and will bring a ball or toy back to you sometimes looking so cute, especially when his ears are up! TACO is a pretty relaxed dog and goes with the flow in his daily routines. He is good on the leash and a harness is recommended to prevent from pulling and is not reactive to other dogs walking by on the trails. He did well in a crowded picnic area on the lake and does not pick up garbage from the ground. In the house he likes to jump on the bed and can sleep through the night or in a crate for the night also has worked for him. He is calm in the house and is easily redirected to his area. He does like chewy toys and does chip away at even the toughest Kong. He does bark and talk sometimes when someone new comes in, but is redirected with reassurance and a chance to meet a new person. He makes eye contact and you have his undivided attention! TACO is a great dog! His previous bio was this: DOB approx 9/24/24). He’s a bright, loving, beautiful, smart dog. He’s still young and everyday things still can on occasion suprise him. He loves other dogs and totally ignored my cats in the house in Texas and when he came to WA to te foster he was with two dogs and two cats. He did great especially with the cat (see the videos) He will play with one of the cats who enjoys playing with Taco and ignores the cat that wants him to ignore it! He is gentle and loves treats…a little shy of strangers but a gentle voice and treats wins him over quickly. He is strong and healthy…good for someone who wants a companion for hiking or running. If you are a single person and want a super friendly dog but who barks and alerts you to anyone coming he would be great for that too. He is good for long walks. He is about 60#s, He is a little cautious with new people that is why we said NO chldren, but it really depends on the family and the age of the children, etc. Only a DNA test will tell for sure what his breeds are. He is house trained and crate trained. He does great riding in the car and is getting better at getting in the car voluntarily. He learns quickly…smart dog. He knows his name but for a nickname we call him TACO PACO. The thing that makes him especially so cute is his ears… they make him look like “The Flying Nun.” We say good with children but likely those would be at least 10 yrs old and up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZMApQhX9wE

Story
Meet Wiley! Wiley is an approximately 1.5 year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) with a happy personality and a very smart mind. He is an active boy who is always ready for his next adventure and would thrive with a family that understands the needs of intelligent working breeds. Wiley is high energy and will need a breed knowledgeable owner committed to continuing his training and providing both mental and physical stimulation. He is eager to learn and already does pretty well on a leash. With consistency and structure, Wiley has the potential to become an incredible companion. He would do best with an active family that enjoys walks, outdoor activities, training, and keeping their dogs engaged. Wiley is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in life right alongside his people. Wiley is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. $200 Local Adoption Fee (Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)
