Story
Meet Tilly, an eight week old Border Collie/German Shepherd mix weighing eight pounds.Tilly is a calm, affectionate little girl with a gentle soul. While she enjoys playing and exploring like any puppy, she prefers to take things at her own pace—carefully checking out the world one step at a time. She’s the kind of pup who will quietly follow you from room to room, always wanting to be near her people and be part of whatever you’re doing. Whether it’s cuddle time on the couch or hanging out in the yard, Tilly is happiest just being by your side.Like all puppies, Tilly is still learning the ropes! She will need continued guidance with potty training, basic manners, and understanding what’s appropriate to chew (and what’s not!). With patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, she’s sure to grow into a well-mannered companion.Socialization will be especially important for Tilly as she grows. Because she has a more cautious nature, helping her build confidence through positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, and other animals will set her up for success. Slow introductions and encouragement will help her blossom into a more confident and well-rounded dog.If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will stick by your side through it all, Tilly might just be your perfect match.Tilly is in a foster home and not available for meet and greets or to adopt until 4.24.26, however you can place her on hold with a deposit so you are first in line to adopt her once she is ready! To start the process please apply to adopt her online.Your adoption fee includes: A lovable new companion, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations + deworming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets 3-4 months and older), and microchip with nationwide registration. For online adoptions please fill out our quick adoption questionnaire here: https://yakimahumane.org/adopt/apply/Questions? This active girl is always ready to explore and see what the world has to offer. She’s curious, playful, and full of personality—plus she’s not afraid to use her voice to let you know exactly how she’s feeling! Tyla is incredibly affectionate and happiest when she’s with her people (or her puppy pals). Whether she’s chasing toys, exploring the yard, or curling up next to you, she just wants to be part of the action and included in the fun.Like all puppies, Tyla is still learning! She’ll need help with potty training, basic manners, and learning what’s okay to chew. Consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping her grow into a well-behaved adult dog.Socialization is especially important for a confident, outgoing pup like Tyla. Story
MEET VADER – A true gentleman! Are you looking for a dog who is gentle and sweet, with soulful eyes? Vader is the perfect combination of active companion and couch potato! He will sprawl out in front of the couch while his foster family watches TV. Vader also loves to go on casual walks, energetic jogs and long hikes- no pulling the leash! He copies your mood and just enjoys being with company. He truly is a sweetie. When he’s really very happy, his tail doesn’t just wag, it goes in circles like a helicopter! Vader is a beautiful 3-year-old Border Collie mix. He weighs 55 lbs. He is potty trained and has learned crate training while in foster. Vader knows how to sit, down, up, speak, fetch, and walk nicely on a leash. He learns quickly and is eager to please. Vader is a true gentleman! VADER DOES WELL WITH: • Young Kids – Vader has lived with a 1-year-old baby/toddler and a 12-year-old child very happily. • Adults – Vader is friendly with adults. VADER WOULD NEED HELP WITH: • Learning to trust – When Vader is in a new situation, it takes him a little time to become comfortable. Once you build that relationship, he blossoms! • Other dogs – Vader had a female Golden Retriever friend at his last house and has done well with his current foster’s son’s dogs (a male and a female, both large). He has not been around small dogs. When Vader first came into HUNAH, we were told that he was reactive on leash. We think that he is more excited when seeing dogs. He turns back to tug on his leash, which shows the ability to redirect his excitement. We believe that a patient owner could work through this issue. Vader would need to meet other dogs in the household before placement. • Cats – Fast movement excites Vader. He has chased cats, so a cat-free home or a very slow, structured introduction would be best. VADER IS UNKNOWN WITH: • Horses and Livestock – Vader has no experience. THE REST OF THE IMPORTANT DETAILS Vader is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. Vader is currently in Sequim, Washington. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Vader and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com. If you are not already approved, you can fill out an application here: https://www.herduneededahome.com/adopting-with-hunah-1

Story
Theo is a spunky, goofy, sensitive, athletic, inquisitive, and loving bundle of joy. He loves to play with the ball, splash in the kiddie pool, charge through a field or across the dog park, and snack on ice cubes. He is very high energy most of the day and attaches deeply to his person and to anyone else who shows him love. He needs space to run and stimulation during the day. He has the cutest speckles behind his ear. He’s also incredibly rugged and loves to adventure. He’s deeply loyal and trusting. He loves other dogs, he babies his cats and follows them around, and he gets so excited to hang out with kids- my six year old niece is his favorite. Theo is two, and I’ve never been quite able to teach him not to jump up when he’s excited to see someone, we all have our flaws. He knows sit, stay, lie down, and get back (which is handy when playing fetch). Theo just needs more time and companionship than I can give him now in this chapter of my life. Theo will captivate you.

Story
Knox isn’t just another cute puppy—he’s the one with a little spark behind his eyes, the one who’s always thinking, always watching, always figuring things out before you even realize he’s trying. If you’re looking for a dog who just exists in the background, Knox is not your guy. If you’re looking for a dog who engages, who learns you just as quickly as you learn him, who makes every day feel a little more alive—now we’re talking. At just 3½ months old, Knox is already operating on a whole different level. He’s genuinely one of the smartest puppies you’ll ever meet. He’s currently in a loving foster home where he’s absolutely thriving, and it shows in everything he does. Knox isn’t just “doing well” with training—he’s excelling. He already knows commands like sit, lay down, shake, spin, and continues to pick up new ones like it’s second nature. You can see how much he enjoys learning—it’s not just something he tolerates, it’s something he looks forward to. Give him something to figure out, and he lights up. Watch how cute he is in his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/fMee3NwdwwU?si=RPj72862W6sFQlLR He’s the kind of dog who needs that engagement. Knox does best when he has structure, consistency, and things to do—whether that’s training sessions, puzzle toys, interactive play, or just being included in your daily routine. He thrives when his mind is active and his energy has an outlet. In the right environment, he absolutely flourishes into this incredible, well-rounded, impressive dog. Without it, he’ll find his own ways to stay busy—and like any smart, young puppy, those ideas might not always align with yours. Personality-wise, Knox is just as wonderful as he is intelligent. He’s playful, goofy, and full of life, with that classic puppy bounce that makes everything feel a little more fun. He loves to play, loves to explore, and loves being part of whatever is going on. But he’s not all energy—he has a really sweet, affectionate side too. After he’s had his fun, he’ll happily settle in close, soak up attention, and just be your little shadow. Knox would do best in an active home that’s excited to continue working with him and giving him the kind of life he thrives in. A home with a yard would be ideal so he has space to move, play, and burn off that happy puppy energy. More than anything, he’s looking for his person—someone who wants a true companion, someone who will invest in him, challenge him, and include him. He bonds deeply and does best when he has that consistent connection. This isn’t just a “good puppy.” Knox is the kind of dog who, with the right person, becomes something really special. The kind you’re proud of, the kind people notice, the kind you can’t imagine your life without once he’s in it. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69d3f69314b18eef750d9ce2 Questions?
