We adopted him from a local shelter, and he has rewarded us every day with his loyalty, gentle nature, and loving personality. Max is approximately eight years old and still enjoys spending time with his people, whether that's relaxing at home or going for a walk. He is well-behaved, listens well, and has a calm, friendly temperament. Max understands his boundaries around the home, but when outside of his designated area, he does best on a leash to keep him safe. This is an incredibly difficult decision for our family, but due to an upcoming move, we need to find Max a loving new home. He deserves a family who will give him the same love and care he has enjoyed with us over the years. Meet Missy! Adoption fee $400 Missy was found injured and brought to county. Due to what they believed were significant injuries she was set to be euthanized. We quickly stepped in and pulled her. We got her to our vet right away. Missy has previous pelvic fractures and part of her hamstring (its made up of four muscles) has been torn and detached. We could do surgery but our vet said the chances of it being successful were very slim. He advised trying physical therapy. Missy had her first appointment and did great. If you are a good fit and decide to adopt Missy we will include a PT session so you can learn what she needs. It's really easy and she is VERY treat motivated. Missy loves her people. Her favorite spot is on your lap or draped across it! She is good with other dogs but can be a bit bossy. She would be fine as an only dog too. Missy walks on a leash and is potty trained. She will bark when she first meets people, especially if her person is with her. She gets over it quickly. She does not like cats so absolutely none in the household. We have worked with her and it is not a fixable issue at this time. Misty is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and 4DX (tick/heartworm test) negative. Meet Hazel! Hazel was a foster out of Pinal county. She escaped over a year ago and was not found until one of our volunteers humanely trapped her. She had been seen for several days near a Walmart. Hazel was trapped and we found that she was microchipped. We were able to bring her into our rescue at that time. Hazel is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She loves other dogs and to snuggle up to you. She walks on a leash too. Hazel is very sweet. She love to play with stuffies! She can entertain herself just tossing one around. We are looking for her forever home. We believe she was found when she initially escaped her foster but was able to get out at some point from the people that picked her up. Because of this she will need to be in a home with children 12 or older or no children. She is flight risk and considered a door dasher. Hazel is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and 4DX (tick/heartworm test) negative. Hazel is approximately 4 years old and weighs 29 pounds.
