Story
Meet Bailey!Bailey’s sweet disposition and loving personality will melt your heart faster than a chocolate bar in the blazing desert sun. Around 3 years old, 30 pounds, and spayed, she’s the kind of dog people instantly fall for—everyone who meets her agrees she’s a total gem. Equal parts affectionate companion and cheerful sidekick, Bailey brings warmth, charm, and a gentle joy wherever she goes.Despite undergoing ongoing treatment for Valley Fever, Bailey remains incredibly resilient, bright, and full of life. She hops into the car for vet visits without hesitation, happily greets medical staff, and takes her daily medication like a pro. Even after surgery to repair a corneal ulcer in her right eye (March 4, 2026), she has maintained her signature positivity. Her little head nod—likely from Valley Fever—only adds to her unique charm and doesn’t slow her down one bit.Bailey’s personality is the perfect mix: about 80% chill and 20% playful bounce. She starts her day with a neighborhood walk and then happily rotates between naps, sunbathing, enrichment toys, and courtyard strolls. She’s a big fan of fetch—lovingly called “go-gets!”—and enjoys chewing on toys like beef cheeks. Housebroken and crate trained, she walks well on a leash, rides great in the car, and handles baths, nail trims, and teeth brushing with ease. A true velcro dog, Bailey just wants to be near her person, whether that means a cozy movie night or tagging along for an adventure. When meeting new people, Bailey may be a little cautious at first, but she warms up quickly with gentle pets or treats (she is very food motivated!). She lives peacefully with another dog and a cat, showing respectful and friendly behavior with proper introductions. While she doesn’t live with children, she’s been gentle with kids she’s met. Affectionate, playful, and known for her adorable “corn cobbing,” Bailey is an enthusiastic greeter of neighbors and delivery folks alike. After being in foster care since May 2025, she’s more than ready to find a forever home where her sweet, bouncy, love-filled spirit can truly shine.
