About Bailey:- Gentle temperament. Shy at first. Very affectionate with her people! Full of love!- Low/Medium energy level- Velcro dog who loves being with her person- Super chill and loves to relax- Fiend for treats- Loves to play fetch (we call it “go gets!”)- Knows “sit” & learning other basic cues- Great on car rides- Walks well on a leash- Good w/ baths, nail clipping & teeth brushing- Housebroken- Crate trained- Good w/ dogs- Good w/ cats- Good w/ kids (but doesn’t live with them)- Valley Fever positive, takes meds wellBailey’s ideal adopter:- Patient & caring- Committed to continuing her medical care: She has Valley Fever & will likely require lifelong medication. Her adopter should be her confident advocate and able to take her to the vet regularly to monitor her VF. Friends of PACC Clinic offers discounted veterinary care for PACC adopters.- Comfortable giving medication or willing to learn: She takes pills and eyedrops daily with relative ease & of course a peanut butter treat afterward. Her foster will happily show you their routine!- Will continue working w/ her on separation anxiety: She’s happiest with a human around, but gets a little nervous when left alone and will bark & pace. She takes daily Trazodone which has significantly reduced her stress level and helped her relax when home alone.- Will continue socializing her: She’s a little shy meeting new people and pups, but has gained confidence with her foster mom by her side to let Bailey know she is safe. After meeting someone a couple of times she warms right up, approaching her friends (human or canine) with excited waggles! More about Bailey:Bailey’s gentle disposition and loving personality will melt your heart faster than a chocolate bar in the blazing desert sun! Everybody who’s had the pleasure of meeting her agrees that she is a real gem. From her perpetual smile to her super-soft coat, Bailey is 100% a living teddy bear. A tag along friend who is equally stoked for a movie night in, playtime, or low key hangs with other human & canine friends. Like a true shadow dog she just wants to be included and is along for the ride.Bailey’s vibe is low-key. She starts her day with a leisurely morning stroll, stopping along the way to say hello to her favorite neighbors. She spends the rest of the day rotating nap spots around the house; only taking breaks to say hello to he

Story
Betty White (aka Penny) came to us from San Bernadino Devore shelter where she was at risk due to cherry eye. She was able to get the correction surgery when she got spayed and she is doing amazing. This girl is really the whole package. Sweet, respectful, and a great cuddler. She is crate and leash trained, and is using the dog door like a pro at her foster home. BW loves other dogs (is pretty submissive) and is very playful, and is good with cats and kids, Our vet estimated her to be around 2 and the shelter had her listed as 3 so she is somewhere in that range. She is a petite 9-10 lbs and would be such a great addition to any family! She would do best with another playful dog in the home and would enjoy having kids. Norwich Terrier Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)

Female, 2 yrs 5 mos
Marana, AZ
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Emily came to us from AHS where she was at risk for being scared and unsocialized though she was not demonstrating any snappy behaviors, she was just very avoidant and fearful. She has made alot of progress but will still need a very patient home that understands that she will continue to need work. She is not yet leash trained but the foster is working with her and she is making small strides. She still does not like being handled much but will give her foster mom "nose kisses" and is excited to follow her around. Emily would be happiest in a home with at least one other dog her size or slightly smaller. She is not a fan of big dogs at all. She is working on being brave and learning and experiencing new things but may revert in a new (forever) home. She is getting the hang of the potty routine in her foster home with regular opportunities to get out. She does well in a crate. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and is 2-3 years old and 20 lbs. If you think you have the patience and kindness Emily needs please submit application HERE >>>> https://form.jotform.com/cherishedtails/dog-application
