This is a courtesy post to help the owner find a safe and appropriate new home. All inquiries should be directed to the owner, not Yolo County Animal Services. Meet Lucy, a sweet and energetic 2-year-old Border Terrier looking for a new home due to housing challenges. She has been in her current caregiver’s care for less than a month after coming from a family friend. About Lucy Breed: Border Terrier Age: 2 years Color: Grey / Off-white Gender: Female (not spayed) Vaccines: Up to date History: Has lived most of her life outdoors and may need help adjusting to an indoor routine. Living Situation: Primarily outdoors 4+ hours a day. Potty Trained: Unknown Crate Trained: Yes Behavior & Temperament Children: Friendly Visitors: Energetic, likes to jump, sometimes goes for people’s feet in excitement Handling/Sharing: Allows people to take food and toys Other Notes: Has lived most of her life in a backyard (not by choice) and will benefit from kindness, structure, and training as she learns what it’s like to live inside. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
