Story
Meet Erin, the delightful Cairn Terrier weighing in at 22 pounds. With a heart full of sweetness, Erin thrives on human interaction and delights in every visitor to her kennel, showering them with jumps and dances until she captures their attention. Attention is her currency, far surpassing even the tastiest treats. A good butt scratch is her ultimate pleasure, and being praised as a good girl fills her with joy. Erin is a social butterfly with other dogs, reveling in outdoor playtime and soaking up the sunshine during puppy groups. A leash-walking pro, she eagerly awaits daily strolls with her future family. Affectionately known as Erin the Cairn, Erin is poised to bring endless love and laughter into her forever home. Could you be the lucky one to welcome her into your life? Reach out to National Mill Dog Rescue and let Erin's journey to happiness begin!- - - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Meet Teddy. He’s a very stout, three and a half year old brindle, neutered Cairn Terrier. He loves attention, is a total sweetheart and is very smart. No bad habits but is a fussy eater. He’s trained to go outside instead of on a pee pad, and is more of a squatter than a leg hiker. He gets along with our cats; he either ignores them or plays with them, depending on what the cat wants. He gets along with dogs one-on-one, but feels threatened at dog parks and in Petsmart. Unsure how he does with kids-he use to be scared of them, but now he likes to join in. I will not ship him and would like to get periodic updates on him
