Story
Daisy is a happy, playful pup who thinks pretty much everything is exciting — especially people! She greets new friends with plenty of enthusiasm and loves soaking up every bit of attention that comes her way. She may jump up in her excitement and give you an adorably confused look when you tell her “no,” but she’s actually a very good listener and will stop when redirected. She’s a curious girl who is learning all about boundaries as she explores her world. Daisy has plenty of puppy energy and loves a good game of tug-of-war with both people and other dogs. She also enjoys stuffed animals, ropes, and balls, and she’s always ready to investigate whatever is happening around her. After some running and playing, though, Daisy is perfectly happy to settle down with a chew and eventually curl up for a nap. She’s doing wonderfully with her potty training for the short time she’s been working on it. She has already started scratching at the door when she needs to go outside, and when she can’t get outside, she knows to head to her pen and use the potty pad. At bedtime, Daisy may offer a couple of little howls to let you know she disagrees with the arrangement, but she quickly settles down and sleeps soundly through the night. Daisy enjoys having canine friends and plays well with the other puppy in her foster home. She respects boundaries from resident dogs, too — she’d usually prefer that they join her in playing, but when another dog tells her they’re done, she appropriately backs off and becomes submissive. She’s equally enthusiastic about meeting new people and seems to approach the world with a wonderful combination of curiosity and confidence. Inquisitive, energetic, affectionate, and endlessly playful, Daisy is the kind of puppy who will keep you laughing while also being eager to learn. She’s well on her way to becoming a wonderful companion and would make a fun addition to a variety of homes. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  ##2819548##
