Story
Meet Tobby Male DOB: December 14, 2025 Weight: 24 pounds (medium small) Breed: Border Terrier Mix Neutered (Fixed): Pending Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Tobby is a sweet, social young dog with a loving personality and a happy, easygoing spirit. He enjoys being around people, loves going on walks, and especially enjoys riding in the car, making him a wonderful companion for adventures and everyday outings. He also gets along well with: Dogs Cats Tobby has beautifully grown beyond the tiny puppy stage while still keeping playful puppy energy and curiosity. He enjoys activity, companionship, and staying involved in daily life with his humans. As a Border Terrier mix, Tobby may show traits such as intelligence, curiosity, affection, and playful energy. Border Terrier mixes are often known for being friendly, adaptable dogs who enjoy companionship, activity, and strong bonds with their families. Tobby would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily walks and activity Continued socialization and engagement Structure and consistency Inclusion as part of the family He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, affectionate, and social young dog who enjoys both adventures and cuddles. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Young dogs especially still require continued training, structure, and supervision as they grow and mature. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Tobby will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and routine Continued leash training and socialization Patience and consistency during adjustment Mental stimulation and engagement Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Tobby will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment As a young dog, Tobby will continue learning and developing emotionally and socially over time. Consistency, patience, and structure are important for helping him grow into a confident adult dog. Tobby is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
