Highly energetic and very playful, our girl named Sky is a real treat to have around. She’s 1 year old and weighs 37 pounds. A scruffy Border Terrier mix, she’s a real cutie pie, too! She’s dog friendly and loves toys. How about taking her home for play time? (posted 7/4/26, ME) ' 'Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $170.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **July 10, 2026, 5:05 pm

Story
Doug is a 4-year-old Terrier–Collie mix who’s been a deeply loved family dog for 3 years. Affectionate, smart, and well-trained he knows basic commands, loves to run, hike and adores snuggling. He’s thrived with two teen boys and a cat, is playful and enjoys games of chase, and would do well on a farm or in a multi-pet home. True to his Collie side, Doug has herding instincts and is true to his pack family (humans too) will monitor your yard and chase deer or other unwanted visitors —he needs a secure yard with a 4'+ fence, daily exercise (walks, hikes, runs), and company; he doesn’t do well alone. True to his terrier side, he is a bit anxious will greet you with reckless abandon like you’ve been gone for weeks, he is on daily anxiety and thyroid meds that must be continued to avoid mild seizures from hypothyroidism. Veterinary records will transfer. If you can provide an active, loving home, please welcome Doug into your home. Our hearts are broken but we trust he’ll find his place.
