  This inquisitive boy with the beautiful black scruffy face and Lab-style body is ready to steal someone’s heart.  Ben is just 9 months old, weighs about 35 pounds, and will likely mature into a perfect 45–50 pound adult — the ideal “not too big, not too small” size for just about any home. Ben and his sister Jerri (yes… Ben & Jerri ) were recently rescued from a rural shelter in Tennessee after being removed from a severely neglected situation where too many animals and too little food were the norm. What’s remarkable is that you would never know it. There is no fearfulness, no shutdown behavior, no emotional baggage — just a happy, bright, affectionate boy puppy who is thrilled to finally be noticed. Ben absolutely craves personal attention, and when you give it to him, he is so very happy and giddy almost. He is eager to please, highly food motivated, and going to be a dream to train. He’s already walking nicely on leash despite having almost no prior experience, which speaks volumes about her intelligence and willingness to learn. He’s playful, affectionate, and soaking up structure and routine like a sponge.   His look is unforgettable.  He has that wiry, scruffy coat you can’t stop petting, with adorable chin whiskers that give him a touch of Irish Wolfhound charm. When the sun hits his sleek black coat, it shines beautifully. He’s the kind of dog people stop and ask about. Ben is working on crate training and is mostly housebroken with only the occasional puppy mishap — all part of adjusting to a new life filled with stability and love. His future is incredibly bright. All he needs now is someone to choose him.  What does he promise in return? Loyalty. Gratitude. A whole-hearted kind of love that only a rescued dog can give. A 15-month-old, 22 lb border terrier mix who’s spent almost his whole life in rescue. He’s dog-friendly (happy to keep up with any play style or size), kid-approved, and absolutely fetch-obsessed. He has not been cat tested yet. Damon is ready to show you why he deserves a family of his own. Recently, Damon went on a volunteer field trip, and here’s how it went… Damon was stoked to be riding shotgun like a true passenger prince. When we arrived, he waited politely before hopping out, then pranced down the street at my side, bouncing along like the happiest parade marshal you’ve ever seen. Next stop? Fetch. Damon’s favorite thing in the world. His whole body lit up with joy. He scurried after the ball, skidded into the fence, then came charging back to drop it right at my feet, eager to go again, and again, and again… He even played fetch with my 4-year-old, gentle and patient every time. Damon could truly go all day if you let him! After fetch, we wandered through town. Damon acted like the mayor, greeting everyone we passed. One person even pulled over their car just to meet him! He stopped to pose with flowers outside shopfronts like a natural-born model, soaking up the attention. Finally, we hit Starbucks, where Damon waited patiently for his order. The barista handed over a pup cup, and his day had been officially made! This is Damon! Goofy, sweet, and ready for a forever family. After spending almost his entire life in rescue, he deserves to celebrate his next anniversary at home. Maybe with you?
