*Name: Scruffy *Age: 3 years old *Current Weight: 16lbs  *Rescued from: Georgia  *Adoption fee: $475  (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Meet Scruffy! Look at this scruffy little face... how could you not fall in love?  Scruffy may be a little bit shy at first, but you can't blame him, he hasn't had the chance to learn that the world isn't a big scary place yet.  Scruffy was recently taken in by Animal Control and landed himself in an overcrowded shelter in rural Georgia after being confiscated in a hoarding situation. Thankfully, he wasn't in too bad shape, especially compared to the other dogs who were living beside him, and thanks to our rescue partners he's ready to get a fresh start.  If you give this little guy a chance, you're sure to see his adorable personality shine through, with tail wags, body wiggles, and gentle, hopeful eyes. He's just looking for his person or forever family to help give him comfort, stability and love. In return, he'll gladly give you companionship, understanding, and unconditional love.  Are you willing to help Scruffy get his second chance?  IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. Story
This wiry friend is Collette, also known as Colletti Confetti. She's a 2½ year old wire haired dachshund terrier mix and she weighs 17 pounds. Collette was found as a stray and stuck in our local County shelter for far too long without being seen. We originally went to the shelter to save another dog, a young heeler mix named Arby, but after meeting Collette, we knew we couldn't leave her behind. She struck us as a very good catch, and we were right. She and Arby became fast friends from day one and have delighted in each other's company ever since arriving here weeks ago. (See video and photo of the two above!) Collette has done extremely well getting used to our schedule. She is very treat motivated, learned her name quickly and has wonderful recall. She is playful, gentle and only uses her bark for good. 😉 She loves to chew on hooves and bones and, if she gets enough play time outside in the morning, she's very happy being a couch potato inside during the heat of the day. Collette has made friends with every one of the dogs in our rescue. From old to young and small to big, she's very polite about her introductions. If you are a cat, however, she doesn't care to impress and is a little too interested in their every move, so a cat free home would likely be her best fit. A home with a yard would be ideal. Kids would be icing on the cake! Collette is fun, kind and easy to love on. She does well in the car and doesn't mind being held or picked up. Collette is crate trained, house trained and walks nicely on a leash with a harness. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, on flea and tick prevention and has received a 12-month ProHeart injection for heartworm prevention. For out of state adopters, Collette can travel safely with one of our trusted transport partners, Freedom Run Express or Tigger's Texas Transport. We adopt to multiple states to help each dog find their perfect forever home.
