Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Champ! He is an affectionate and loving 1-year-old, 22lb Border Terrier mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA and is looking for his forever home. He is very handsome, smart, and great with people! His dog socialization is something to be worked on as he is reactive with other dogs, however we believe this is something he can work through with proper training and socialization. Champ has a good amount of energy making him a great adventure companion and best suited for an active household. He loves to play and go on walks and is very treat driven. He knows some commands such as “down”, “shake” and how to do a fancy sit. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Meet Maya! This cute little girl, only 9 pounds, is a cute and mischievous dog full of love. Found on the streets along with her 3 siblings, she was rescued when there was a report that a dog attacked one of her babies and she died. Maya is currently being trained to walk on a leash, but in her potty training she has done very well! She is very active, happy and loves to run at full speed! You'll be able to see a little flea fly just from how fast she runs, haha! She loves rope toys, treats, and huge beds to sleep in. She has very crazy hair, and that's what makes her adorable. You will fall in love with her little eyes from the first time, and although she is shy the first time, she adapts quite quickly to her new place. She knows how to sit down to eat and wait for her food, and she coexists very well with dogs and cats. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Welcome Simba to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Simba is a Norfolk/Cairn Terrier mix is our best guess. He weighs about 15 pounds and this boy understands mostly Spanish and is learning English. Simba is 2 years old and has the longest legs and the most outgoing of the two. These boys love each other and would love to be adopted together. If they adopt out separately, we do think they will be ok. Simba is lower shedding and lower dander due to his breed. He would be a good walker on leash. His brother doesn’t know how to walk on a leash yet. Simba has lived with an older couple. They had some very unfortunate circumstances and now they are looking for a new home. CCPAL is happy to help them find their forever home. If we could find an owner that speaks some Spanish, that would be great. They are both learning English so they should be fine with some patience. An older couple or an older single person wanting a nice companion would be the best pick. Simba would be a nice walking partner. He is good in a crate and not too much of a barker. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted out locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200 He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
