🚨Border Collie/Herding Dog Experienced Foster or Foster to Adopt Needed. 🔹Pets Name: Penelope 🔹Age/DOB: 2 years old 🔹Gender: Female 🔹Spayed: Yes 🔹Weight: 50lbs 🔹Breed / Breeds: Border Collie Penelope is a very smart sweet border with typical herding tendencies. She has been on sheep and done very well. She is house broken leash trained. Does not like a crate but will go in , Needs work with crate training. Penny is a dog that needs someone who can set boundaries in a positive firm consistent manner. Typical of herders, she will try to control if she senses you are not in charge. She knows commands, she is motion activated as are most herders. We are working with that and she can be reactive with other dogs, thus the need for a dog savvy handler. She would do best in a home with one other dog or no other dogs for those less experienced. Fenced yard is a must, as is a knowledgeable border collie person . She's gentle, quiet, and incredibly resilient despite everything she’s been through. This sweet girl is not leash-trained yet, but she is pad trained and very gentle when hand-fed. She's learning to eat from a bowl and starting to explore life outside her comfort zone. Lucy enjoys being held and seems to find comfort in gentle lap time and petting — her favorite spot is a soft dog bed in a quiet corner. Lucy is not aggressive and has never growled or snapped, even under stress. She’s shy and will need someone with patience and experience with unsocialized or hoarded dogs to help her continue her journey to healing. Flint and his sister Addy, both ended up as Strays in Polk County, GA. They both love people, children and adults, very friendly, docile. These siblings are both beautiful. They are border collie mixes. Not yet altered, they have some shots and will need to finish getting vetted, as we try to place them soon in foster homes. We need to pull before their time is up!
