This lovely girl is named Sue.. She was owner surrendered to Okeechobee shelter due to her people moving. She is 6 yrs young. Knows the command sit, hw negative and now spayed!!! Sue is very stimulated by other dogs, She gets excited and barks. She nips at them to get them going. Yet, when all is quiet, she is too. She would be fine in a home without another dog and would do best with a fenced yard. She needs leash work, but knows some basic commands. She crates easily. So she switches from herdy to calm. Because she is motion activated, she would not be a good running mate or a fun dog for long walks. She would love to be someone’s companion dog. She is not the least bit interested in playing ball. I find that she just wants to be wherever I am, but no anxiety. She doesn’t like thunder or gunshots but handles it okay. She is fine with my little dogs. I don’t think she had ever been around any. She really just wants dogs to run and play, so she tried to get them going with barking and being kind of in their face. Not all dogs will like that. I repeat, She would be fine by herself or with another playful dog. Cats are like not there lol.. .Will need a fenced yard so she can run freely.and loves to ride in the car!!!!! We are in need of a border savvy adopter. Anyone that can help her ?? Great dog for an older couple with a settled dog, that she can hang out with. She is fostered in Palm City, Fl on the east coast. Owner surrendered to the shelter at 10 yrs old and overweight at 70 pds. Could not care for her was the reason. Old hip injury lame on right rear. This sweet border collie does NOT belong in the shelter. She is out as of Thursday this week end of august and we are in need of a nice quiet home for her. Anyone border oriented that can help??? Hw neg, will have had shots, altered status unknown at this time. BOrders do not do well in shelters, so we will get her to a vet as soon as possible to check her out. Lets just get her a place to go first eh??

We just want a good home for baby. He is caring and likes to be with people and animals, he is not fond of being all alone. He had a companion in our home, a pug, but she pass away and he misses her and having company. He will travel in a car but needs to be in someone's lap or be held, he has never gotten car sick. He has a lot of energy and loves being outside. Sadly we live in an apartment and he get outdoors very little now that we live in a city. He is a self feeder so he does not binge eat, he is house broken and has been since he was a puppy. A wonderful pet and very loyal.

George was adopted by a sweet older woman who never had a dog before and she wasn’t properly informed how much a puppy can be. We took him in as fosters to give her relief when she had no other options due to apartment management. We ourselves have two other dogs who George gets along with beautifully, he is a crate-trained, sweet kiddo who deserves a home where he can run around and be content. All his shots are up to date, and he has already been neutered. He’s a pup with a LOT of breeds, but that’s what makes him so unique. His personality is amazing and we have a ton of things that will come with him which make the perfect starter pack for him to settle in nicely.

This little lady is 41 pounds and may be only 1-1/2 years old, but she is so chill and eager to please. Margo has basic commands but is not great with stay. Heeler tendency! She sees everything! She can walk well and is fairly good at heeling. We are working on focus! I use the command "eyes" so she will look back and connect to me while walking. Margo is loving, smart and beautiful. Her pictures don’t do her justice. My neighbors have a 5 year old neighbor boy who has his sister text me to bring Margo out for a hug! Margo will make a wonderful active companion, hiking and maybe a running partner. She would be a great dog for agility training. Her energy level is fairly chill for an ACD and she has an "off-switch" and likes to snuggle. She crates well and is house trained. She does have the heeler trait of jumping up at you if you don't set boundaries, but she is more gentle with the jump. She is becoming better as we continue training. She has learned to walk by rabbits and ducks without even the slightest pull on her leash. Margo tends to do better with male dogs or maybe a submissive female. Cats are not tested, nor recommended. She also needs to be with someone who is experienced with heelers. A fenced yard is needed. Margo should have someone who takes her to group training. She is currently fostered in the Naples area.
