This handsome boy is 3-year-old Moby and he's waiting for you at Satchel's! Moby can be a little shy of strangers but warms up quickly. He enjoys his walks with volunteers, followed by a nice cool down in the kiddie pool while he waits at the gate for his turn to return to his kennel. Moby is full of energy and is currently working with a trainer to learn basic understanding of what is acceptable behavior. Note from a volunteer: "Moby is a darling and very smart. He’s a “back scratch” grass loving boy who prefers water over land any day. He should’ve been a fish 🐠." Meet Percy 💛 9 months old | Goldendoodle This curious, gentle soul is the definition of a Velcro dog. Once he trusts you, he wants to be right by your side—quietly observing, learning, and soaking up love. He came from a hoarding situation where he lived with 25 other dogs in an overstimulating environment, so the world is still a little big for him. Because of that, he’s shy when meeting new humans, but never reactive—just thoughtful and cautious. With patience, he opens up into the most loving, goofy, playful companion. 🐾 Personality Highlights: • Easy-tempered and sweet • Playful and silly once comfortable • Gentle with other dogs (not pushy at all) • Curious and intelligent • Loyal “pack” mindset ✨ The good news: He’s already learned how to walk on a leash and is fully potty trained (yes, really 👏). He thrives with routine, calm energy, and encouragement. 🏡 Ideal home: • Patient, loving humans willing to help build confidence • A fenced yard to explore safely • One older, confident dog to show him the ropes • A quieter home where he can continue to grow at his own pace This boy doesn’t need perfection—he needs patience, kindness, and time. In return, he’ll give you unwavering loyalty, quiet companionship, and so much love. Percy is 34lbs, still growing and does shed, but not heavily thanks to the poodle genetics. He will need to be groomed on a semi regular basis. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Fred came to us from a home where the owners were elderly and not able to take care of the dogs' basic needs. There were 6 total. He is estimated to be just under about 14-16-18 months old. He is housetrained and crate trained and great with other dogs. He is not nearly as nervous as the girls from this intake, but he did live with many other dogs and we think he would benefit from goign to a home either with another dog or a home where someone would be home a lot. He is learning to walk on the leash, but that was totally foreign to him previously, so he will need continued leash training. Fred is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. He is fostered in Sarasota and his adoption fee is $450.
