Story
Meet the beefcake, Freddie. He is a very special dog who loves people, and his housemate Mookie. Freddie knows how to use a dog door, and loves to snuggle. He will sleep next to you in bed and even spoon you on occasion. Freddie love to play tug of war and chase his buddy. Freddie is extremely goofy and has a heart of gold. He also like to get into the dirty laundry and the trash. Freddie has separation anxiety, and would do best in a home where someone is there often, and there is another dog, preferably his buddy Mookie, where he can be the Beta.

Story
Mookie has been with me since he was a young puppy. He just turned four years old. Mour family got Mookie from a breeder in Eastern Washington, and spent most of his early years with us as a work from home family. He knows how to use a dog door, and has been around kids his whole life. He loves other dogs, including his housemate, Freddie. He enjoys cuddling between legs on a blanket and will sleep under the covers by your feet. Unfortunately, since moving back to California and becoming single, I cannot afford to give as much attention to Mookie and Freddie as they deserve. He is crate trained and loves to play fetch.

Story
Jellybean is the life of the party! Jellybean is estimated to be 3 years old, and she is fun with a capital "F"! Like most Boston terriers, Jellybean is a social and playful girl who loves nothing more than making new friends and playing fetch. She is an active girl looking for a family that can keep up with her adorable enthusiasm. Jellybean is fully grown and weighs about 15lbs. Jellybean was found by one of our kitten foster moms. After unsuccessfully finding her previous owners, the foster mom got her vetted, and we made her a YCSPCA foster dog so that we can help find her fur-ever home. What's not to love about Jellybean? She's ridiculously adorable, and there is never a dull moment when she is around. Her absolute favorite thing in the world is playing fetch with balls, and she could play for hours if you let her. She would be a wonderful, active companion for someone who wants a compact cutie to tag along for outdoor adventures. Jellybean loves making new human friends and is quick to cover you in kisses when you meet her. She is a bubbly girl who has never met a person she doesn't love. Jellybean has been doing great with her basic manners training, but is still working on her impulse control, especially if she sees other dogs on walks. She is very food-motivated and smart, so she just needs a family committed to helping her learn. Jellybean has been doing well living with another Boston terrier, but has a strong personality, so would do best as an only dog, or with a submissive dog who is okay with her calling all the shots. Jellybean needs a kitty-free home. Jellybean would make a wonderful addition to a home with kids 8 years and older. Jellybean has been doing great with her housetraining. She is used to being kept in a bedroom while home alone and sleeps overnight in the laundry room. She will whine for a few minutes, but is quick to settle. She may do well living in an apartment with lots of daily exercise. Jellybean is such a wonderful little gal, and she can't wait to start the rest of her life with her fur-ever family. If you think that might be you, submit an application today!   Jellybean's adoption fee is $500.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. January 29, 2026, 4:54 pm

Story
I’m Cappuccino. I am a five-year-old, neutered, smooth coated Boston terrier mix with beautiful eyes. I am fully vaccinated and will be micro-chipped. I love to go to the beach and play in the water. Starbucks run anyone?? I LOVE getting Puppuccino’s! I’m a fun guy and love chasing around a laser. I will be your best friend, your cuddle bug and your protector. I’ll always try to make you smile when you’re sad. I am a loving pup, who enjoys being close with my human. I was raised with cats, however, after being attacked by a big dog, I am frightened by other dogs. I am reactive on the leash but hopefully you will get a trainer to teach me that I am SAFE. I am being rehomed because my mom works two jobs and I am very lonely. Will you be my new forever family? I can’t wait to meet you. See you soon! We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. Story
"Everyone, meet Boston, a sweet and friendly young pup who is looking for a forever home where he can feel loved and cared for! Despite his young age, Boston is an intelligent dog who is always ready to learn and impress his owners. He is a quick learner who knows how to behave, and he'll do best in a calm and quiet home where he can get the rest he needs after an exciting day of adventures. With his friendly and outgoing personality, we're sure that he'll make plenty of human friends in his new neighborhood! Boston is in the process of being housebroken and is currently using diapers, which he takes very seriously. He's quite the clean dog and keeps his diaper area clean and free of any messes. He will need your continued support and patience as he learns to navigate this new skill, but with the right care and attention, we have no doubt that he'll master it in no time. Overall, Boston is a charming and adorable dog with a heart of gold. He's eager to find a home where he can be the center of attention and shower his new family with love and loyalty. If you think you can provide him with the loving home he deserves

Story
We got Pickle when she was a puppy in 2018. We love her dearly, she is 7 years old now… our living situation has completely changed, however, and I truly believe she’s not happy where we are at. We moved from a house that had an 1/2 acre of land so she had a nice yard to play in. Now, my daughter and I are living in an apartment, so she gets very bored. I walk her when I can, but there’s also a lot of other dogs in the apartments and she gets very triggered by them. I just feel like it’s a stressful situation for her and myself because I can’t always entertain her while I’m working. And I just honestly feel like she deserves much more than what I’m able to give to her right now.

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Mía! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am a very pretty girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born on March 21, 2022! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I weigh 24 pounds! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a blue merle, so my coat is swirl of grey and white! My beautiful hazel eyes are quite mesmerizing, but my main showstopper is my adorable floppy left ear! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love food and would eat anything I'm given. However, I have some allergies to chicken and other poultry products. My favorite treats are salmon bites my foster mom gives me! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am perky and energetic! I love to chew on my squeaky toys or be cuddled while getting a belly rub. I love love LOVE being with my humans! But my most favorite thing to do is steal toys and play catch me if you can! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day is eat, play, sleep, cuddle on repeat! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? My favorite toys are the ones I steal from others! Especially the rubber spikey kong balls, squeaky toys, or the Benebones! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know "sit" so far! And I know to go to my crate when it's time to eat or sleep. WHAT SCARES YOU? I have a case of FOMO (fear of missing out) but that's about all so far. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, I've only met older kids so far (9+ years old). I like that they give me a lot of attention and love to play with me and my toys! DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven't met a cat. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like them a lot, big or small! Especially playing keep away with toys! It's my favorite game! Though since I can be a toy hog, slow introductions are important. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I love to be with my humans getting attention or just cuddling on the couch. When it's warm out, I do love sunbathing! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m an IVDD survivor! I have recovered amazingly from surgery and just have a little wobble when I walk. So I use soft stairs to go up and down the couch, and I avoid hard stairs. Did I mention I'm allergic to poultry? Typical Frenchie right? WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, foster grandma, and five other dogs! There are two large Cane Corsos, two other frenchies (Peru and Billy), and something called a "chiwhatwhat.” I'm closest to my foster mom because she took such good care of me while I healed, but also because she's my snack supplier. Though, I have a little crush on Peru and like stealing his toys to make him chase me. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang in my x-pen area or an extra large crate. I have enough room to stretch my legs WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Same as my hangout area. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I’m pretty great on leash and love going on walks and adventures! Though my walks aren't very long just yet since I'm slowly building up my muscles and stamina. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Well, I guess stealing toys is frowned upon by some when I get overzealous about it. So toys have been a slow introduction when in shared spaces. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I use a doggy door with confidence if I have access to it! Though if there's a potty pad in my x-pen, I'll use that too. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I LOVE to slurp it, not sure how I would feel about a splash pad on a hot day, but I’m willing to try it out when the weather warms up! No swimming pools for me. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They make me feel safe and loved, and give me so many toys to play with! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUED? Well, I was used for breeding, then given up when it took a toll on my body. The vet hospital that did my surgery contacted NorCal Bully Breed Rescue to help me find a loving home. Now that I’m all healed up, I am ready to spend the rest of my fabulous life being loved and cuddled and playing and going on walks. And did I mention love? I would LOVE to love you forever if you give me a chance! **MIA'S ADOPTION FEE IS $ 750.** If you are interested in adopting MIA, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi hi! My name is Frankie! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am an adorable little girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born in early 2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I'm a compact 18-pound little peanut. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a beautiful chocolate-colored coat with fawn accents and the most adorable speckled legs and face. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I LOVE food. Love it! But my foster parents make sure I am healthy, so I only eat puppy food, and sometimes I get treats for training. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a fun-loving playful puppy! I play, nap, play, and nap again. And I am a cuddle bug who will never pass up a cozy lap to curl up in. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Every day is perfect to me right now! Everything is fun and exciting, even though it is the same thing I did the day before. I play with my dog friends, I have lots of naps and cuddles with the humans, and I get to lounge around baking in the sunshine. If any of that sounds like it would work for you, then my days would be even more perfect with you in my forever home! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love all kinds of toys, but stuffies are my favorite. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I have magic powers! I can instantly make your world so much more full of love and fun with one look at my cute little face. Does that count? WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m not afraid of anything! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I’ve been around my foster mom's toddler grandson. I love him so much! Since I am young and excited for a little human playmate, foster mom makes sure to watch us together so we are both safe. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I've never met a cat, so I'm really not sure! HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love all the dogs I've ever met. My foster brother and sister, both frenchies, are some of my best friends! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? If I could be anywhere, it would be with my humans and, ideally, with one or more dog friends to play with. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m very healthy! I did have cherry eye in both eyes when I came to NorCal Bully Breed Rescue, but I had surgery to repair them and I am doing great now! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster parents, their two French bulldogs, and my sister, Fern, who was rescued with me. I love them all, but Fern is my closest companion. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I have a puppy pen that I hang out in with my sister! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep like a little angel in my pen. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I am learning to love it! DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I'm a jumper when I greet people. I just want to be where all the action is and I love people SO much! My foster parents are helping me work on keeping my paws on the ground. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? With consistency and patience, I am figuring out the whole potty situation. I am young and learning is a process, but I am doing really well for my age. I will continue to improve with time. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I should not be participating in any water sports, that’s for sure! I am a Frenchie, which means I am better on land than in the water. Please keep me safe! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? My foster mom and dad love to play with us as much as they love to snuggle! My favorite is a long nap in a human lap after a play session. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I’m SO ready to enjoy the rest of my life with my forever family! I would love to come home with you. Let’s do this! ** FRANKIE’S ADOPTION FEE IS $ 750** If you are interested in adopting Frankie, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County).
