Story
A VERY ACTIVE & FUN FRIEND:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 32 lbs.  Hello there!  I’m Cosmo!  I’ve had a home since I was a puppy, but unfortunately my family was moving and could not take me with them.  That makes me sad, but I am thankful that Mosty Mutts was able to welcome me into the MM family.  I am getting great care from the dedicated volunteers who come to care for me and am now ready to find my new home!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I recently met dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I was friendly with them. If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals.  / I was reportedly good with cats in my previous home – though I was scared and would run if they were mean to me.  It will likely depend on the kitty, but if you have a dog-friendly kitty at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / My former owner said I was good with kids though I don’t recall their ages and I recently met children at Mostly Mutts and was jumpy and impulsive with them, so older kids (age 15+) would be the best fit in my new home and of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am an active guy and am looking for a family that will provide me with lots of opportunities to have fun with and be active with them.  Sweet and friendly, I quickly gained the nickname of a fun ‘wild child’ due to my high energy level. I guard balls and sticks, so I will need your help with my training to curb this behavior and Mostly Mutts will help you with tips on that and provide training. / My energy level is 6 -8 so let’s have some fun together! • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be  learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer.  I was familiar with several commands in my previous home – including ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’ and ‘high five’. I will be reinforcing these and learning other commands as well, so check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, as well as in my previous home. / My former family reported that I was potty trained, but I've had a few accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my new potty schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to play and especially love sticks and balls (a bit too much, as I guard them).  I’d love a nice, fenced yard to run off my energy, but supervise me, as I had the ability to jump a fence in my former home.  I’d be happiest with a family member who can be active with me and whose schedule provides chances for us to share lots of adventures together. / I would not be happy if I had to spend too much time alone with little exercise.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a family to be active with me and provide me with a great, loving home for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  May 28, 2024, 6:43 am

Story
Purebred Boston will be 6 in October. He is deaf. He is good with most dogs, but needs a lot of attention. He is very attached to his person and would probably be best with no other dogs or a person who can be home a lot to give him attention. He was my husband's ride or die dog, would even ride on his mobility scooter with him everywhere. Unfortunately, my husband passed away a year ago and Frank is very jealous of me giving my other dogs attention and will attack them. I have tried for over a year to help him adjust but feel that he would do best in another home without dogs or with a person who isn't gone to work as much as I am. He loves car rides, swimming, playing with balls (or any toy for that matter) and just being with his person. He will go outside for potty, but does mark in the house since my husband died. I think this could be corrected as it is a behavior that he developed only after my husband died.
