Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Apple Pie! At just 4 months old, Apple Pie is already proving he might be the best boy ever. When his fosters first met him, he was the very first one to crawl over for cuddles and start handing out sweet little puppy kisses like they were free samples at Costco. With his soft fur, squishy little face, and loving personality, falling in love with him is basically unavoidable. Even though he’s still a baby, Apple Pie is already showing off his brains. On walks he’s been very well behaved, and he’s practicing commands like sit, stay, and come like a little overachiever. Honestly, he’s the kind of student who reminds the teacher there was homework. He’s still working on potty training and adjusting to foster life, but he’s trying his very best. In his crate he’s been a perfect little gentleman — no toy destruction, no blanket chaos, just a good boy waiting patiently. Apple Pie has so much love to give. He just needs a foster (or forever) home where he can keep growing into the amazing dog he’s clearly meant to be. Plus… let’s be honest… who wouldn’t want Apple Pie in their house? Story
Hi, I`m Dionne! A 9-month-old, ~25 lb Boston Terrier mix. I am a timid little girl at first, but once I warm up and feel safe, I am the silliest, sweetest, most loving and loyal companion one could ask for.Personality:Dionne may start off a little cautious with new people, but once she feels safe, she becomes an affectionate, loyal little shadow. She’s a pro snuggler, gives excellent kisses, and enjoys short bursts of playful energy before settling in for cuddles. She loves; walks, scratches, toys, treats, bones, showing off her smarts with tricks, and even chasing her own tail.Training & House Manners:- Potty trained- Sleeps through the night quietly in her crate and keeps it clean- Crate trained during the workday — relaxes calmly while her foster parents are away- SUPER SMART and treat-motivated which makes her eager to please/learn, she already knows “sit”, `lay`, `paw`, `high five` `sit pretty` and continues to learn more each day!- Needs work on the leash. She loves getting out for walks and enjoys all the smells - we are working on training as there is some leash pulling mostly due to excitement and some barking at strangers (humans and other dogs) on walks, positive signs of improvement here already, but she will need continued training here!- Loves scratches and will melt in your lap if you hit the right spotGood with dogs and kids, but too excited for cats! More on this:- Dogs: Yes! She enjoys the resident dog in her foster home and loved meeting dogs of all sizes at a recent adoption events- Kids: Yes! She was gentle, sweet, and loved climbing into laps for kisses or playing fetch when she`s met kids- Cats: No. Dionne gets overly excited around cats and small animals, so she will need a cat-free homeIdeal Home:Dionne will thrive with an adopter who can give her some time and patience to warm up. Once she trusts you, she bonds deeply and becomes a devoted, loving companion. We think Dionne would do best in a home with a fenced in backyard, either as the only dog or a home with another confident dog, an active family that will have time to take her for walks and continue her training which keeps her mentally stimulated. Dionne is truly a gem and she`s patiently waiting for just the right people to make her shine!
