Story
Hi, I'm Peppy. Thanks for taking a look at me! I know my cute face is irresistible, but remember that I will take up lots of your time and attention while I grow into an awesome adult dog. Socialization, training (including house training), and exercise are just a few of the things I will look to you for. Chewing, teething, and learning what is Okay and not Okay to put in my mouth are all part of the puppy experience. And, be prepared for the time and money for frequent trips to the vet during the first few months so I can get up to date on my boosters and vaccines. But most of all, be prepared for all of the LOVE, puppy kisses, and joy I will bring into your life. If you are up for the challenge and the fun, stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email bloomingdale@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 90, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Story
Meet Jack! Hi! My name is Jack (my foster peeps call me Jack Jack, which I like). I’m an adult purebred Boston Terrier with something called “papers”…whatever that means…I’m pure, sweet boy, for sure." I am about 22 pounds, with a big ol’ head. I get along with all sorts of dogs, big and small. I don’t start trouble with anyone. I like kids, and I love my foster mom, like a lot. I love it when my foster mom or foster sisters pick me up. I am slow to warm up to men, but they’re ok if they’re patient and not too loud. Even more than my foster mom, I love TENNIS BALLS!! I will play fetch endlessly - I hope you have a good arm or a chuck’it! I am quiet, and I love to go on walks to sniff and pee on things. I don't want to pee in the house, so this helps. I will sleep with you (I snore a little bit) or in a dog bed near you. I don’t seem very interested in squirrels or birds, which means I might do OK with cats, but I haven’t met one in my foster home. I'm ready to find my forever home now, so if you think I might fit into your home, I'd love to show you how cool and loving of a dog I am! *Jack is being fostered in Madison, WI. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Tux is a 2 year old male Boston Terrier mix who weighs in slightly underweight at 22.5 pounds.  The vet thinks his healthy weight should be 25 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $550.  If you are still interested, please read more below. Hi, I'm Tux, a very dapper 2 year old Boston Terrier mix. I have lots of energy and would love to follow my new family around and play with them.  I LOVE toys, especially the kind that make loud squeaking sounds.  Oh boy! Those are the best!  I'm very friendly with people and would enjoy both big and little ones who like to play.  I like meeting new dog friends too, but my foster mom says I don't take a hint when the other dog doesn't want to play. I've had a few squabbles with my foster brother who doesn't like to share his toys, but get along fine with my foster sister who's older and more laid back.  There aren't any cats in my foster home, but my foster mom thinks cats would probably not appreciate my getting in their faces since I'm very curious.  At night I'm happy to sleep in my crate or in a room near my people.  I love treats and would be happy to continue my good boy training such as sit, stay, lay down.  I'm very proud to say I have not had a single potty incident in the house since I came to stay with my foster family!  I can let you know I need to potty by standing at the door or whining.  A fenced backyard would be great, but if you're willing to teach me some leash manners such as not pulling, then I'd be fine in an apartment or townhouse as well.  Tux is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and neutered.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are  based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/  Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events.  Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop! April 16, 2024, 10:49 am
