Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Boski, the 11-month-old Boston Terrier whose personality is roughly the size of Texas and whose energy level has been scientifically measured at “WHEEEEE!!!” This sweet little wiggle-bean found herself down on her luck when her owners fell on hard times and had no financial means to keep her. But Boski didn’t let that dim her sparkle—not even for a minute. She trotted into rescue like, “Okay humans, who’s ready for FUN? And snacks. Mostly snacks.” Boski is lively, friendly, happy, bouncy, boingy, wiggly, and approximately 73% made of pure enthusiasm. She’s sweet as sugar, very Boston-like in all the best ways, and the kind of dog who believes life is meant to be lived at full zoomie speed. She LOVES other dogs—big ones, small ones, weird ones, slow ones—if it has four legs and a pulse, Boski is ready to be best friends forever. She is basically a canine social director. Need a laugh? She’s got you. Need a cuddle? She’s on it. Need a dog who thinks every day is a national holiday in her honor? Absolutely. And here’s the best part… Boski is about to turn ONE YEAR OLD! Which means YOU could be the lucky human to throw her the most epic Boston-style birthday bash in history. Party hats. Squeaky toys. A pupcake tower. The whole shebang. She deserves it—and honestly, so do you. If you want a hilarious, joyful, love-packed, dog-loving companion who will keep you smiling (and possibly jogging) daily, Boski is your girl. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Meet Muslin, a sensitive soul with the sweetest heart once you earn his trust. This handsome Frenchton has had a rough start and is still learning that the world can be a kind, gentle place—but with patience, love, and consistency, he blossoms into the most loyal little companion. Muslin needs a calm, predictable home where he can decompress and take things at his own pace. He’s nervous with new people, loud noises, and sudden movements, so he’ll do best with someone who understands that trust is something to be earned, not rushed. Once he feels safe, though, his true personality shines—he becomes playful, goofy, and affectionate, showing off his silly side and even getting the zoomies around the yard. He’s fully potty trained and very smart—he’ll bark to let you know when it’s time to go outside, when he’s hungry, or if his water bowl needs refilling. Muslin loves bones, toys, and cheese (his favorite treat!), and he enjoys roaming a fenced yard where he can explore freely.  He also really loves belly rubs.  And, be forewarned that he is a sock thief!  He just loves them.   He’s crate trained but may bark a bit before settling down, and he’s still working on feeling comfortable on a leash. Because he can be fearful, a secure fenced yard is a must, and he’d prefer a quieter home without small children. Muslin may take a few days to warm up, but once he chooses you, he’ll love you with his whole heart. If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in helping a shy dog discover safety, comfort, and trust, Muslin will repay your kindness a hundred times over. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  Bulldogs, pugs, and Boston terriers, Brussels Griffons, Pekingese and others are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. These breeds are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for these breeds usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires a separate application and an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. This dog requires a Bulldog Application.  All applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the bulldog. Our goal is place bulldogs in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the bulldog, we will not approve your application. To learn more, visit  https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/bulldogs/ to fill out the Bulldog application. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Beau is the shy little gentleman of his litter, a 11-pound sweetheart who’s quietly collecting confidence one tiny victory at a time. When he first arrived, he wasn’t so sure about this whole “humans” thing — but now he trots over when you call his name, plops himself at your feet like a polite little gentleman, and waits patiently to be scooped up for snuggles. He is, in short, the world’s tiniest Southern gentleman trapped in a Minnesota puppy body. His two bold sisters boss him around like tiny tornadoes, but Beau takes it in stride. He’s a gentle soul who’d rather trot through a pile of leaves, find the perfect stick, and declare himself King of Autumn. If leaf piles were a sport, Beau would be the reigning champion, gold medalist, and undefeated title holder. He loves playing with his golden retriever foster sibling, enjoys gentle belly rubs, and is happy to curl up in your lap once his little adventurer heart is tired out. He’s crate trained, great with dogs, kids, and even cats, and has a sweet, goofy charm that sneaks up on you until suddenly… you’re smitten. Beau is still working on potty training and hasn’t started leash practice yet, so a fenced yard is best while he’s learning the ropes, or a home committed to teaching him! But he’s smart, eager to please, and full of quiet determination — the kind that makes you cheer for him when he masters something new. If you’re looking for a soft, snuggly, leaf-obsessed little buddy who will love you with his whole tiny heart, Beau is ready to be your gentle little shadow. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Hi! My name is Winston! My brother (Riley) and I were found running the streets of Universal City. We are approximately a year old. I am the big brother. We were both really scared. We have been with our foster mommy for a couple of days now. I am gradually coming out of my shell. I am still a little timid. I will come over and want pets and get up in your lap, but I'm not quite ready yet. But that will not stop me from nipping at your toes!!! I do it playfully to get your attention. Remember, I am still a puppy with a lot of puppy energy and puppy traits!! So, please be patient with me. I love toys!!! I will take out all of the toys out of the toy box until I find the perfect toy!!! I like to make it snow as well!! Did you know it can snow in your living room? Let me demonstrate for you. I love to play with my brother and foster siblings. One of my favorite games is chase. I am also a talker!!! We both have the cutest underbite!!! Local adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $650.

We have been with our foster mommy for a couple days now. I am gradually coming out of my shell. I will come over to foster momma and want to be picked up and petted, sometimes I make it a game and will play shy, but then give in and let her pick me up to relax in her lap. Sometimes I even jump up in her lap and demand attention! If I do not get it, I will swat at her with my paw until she pays attention to me! I love toys and playing with my brother. I also have foster brothers and sisters that are my size and bigger than me. I am working on potty training. I am a very fast learner. I should master that very quickly! I like to explore the backyard. I am still a puppy with lots of puppy energy. I am kennel trained. Foster momma says I have the cutest underbite. I love to run and play, when I am done, I like to either lay down on the couch next to momma or even go and lay in my bed wherever that may be. Momma placed my bed while she was cleaning my kennel and that did not stop me from getting into my bed. I climbed on top of the kennel and decided to take a power nap! Local adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $650.
