Meet Barkley! Barkley is a happy-go-lucky, incredibly sweet dog who loves everyone he meets - people, dogs and even cates. He really wants to play with the cates, though they don't always share his enthusiasm, so he's learned to take their disinterest in stride. Barkley is great about letting you know when he needs to go outside. He'll go to the door on his own, and if you ask him whether he wants to go out, he'll happily trot over. Sometimes he just wants to step out and come right back in, but he communicates well and keeps you in the loop. This boy loves to play - fetch, toys, you name it. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog who can match his energy. He's curious and can get into a little mischief if left to his own devices, so a watchful eye is helpful. Despite his playful streak, he's incredibly gentle and has shown no aggression. The only time he gets a bit pushy is when treats are involved - he may nudge another dog out of the way in his excitement. At night, Barkley sleeps wonderfully in a crate as long as it's beside your bed. He'll also happily sleep in your bed and does great there too. During the day, the crate isn't his favorite place, but he will tolerate it when needed. Barkley is a world-class cuddler. He loves snuggling with people and other dogs and enjoys being close to his humans. Gentle with food & treats - no fuss, just sweet manners. Easy grooming - she allows baths, nail dremeling, and ear cleaning without complaint. Harness & leash friendly - she accepts them willingly and enjoys calm walks. Food motivated - making training fun and rewarding. Great traveler - rides in the car like a pro. Hermione is still learning to trust people and does best with slow introductions. She would thrive as an only dog in a quiet home without young children. While she's not a fan of daytime crating yet, she's improving every day. Outdoors, she's discovering the joy of relaxing and exploring at her own pace. Meet Skye, she is 6 years old and needs a safe place to land, her owner has recently passed away and the family cant keep her, she is currently in Winston Salem but we can help with transport. About Skye: she needs a special diet and meds for some food absorption issues, she will need a vet work up that the rescue will cover. Skye is house trained and good with other animals she is probably better suited for children over the age of 6 as she jumps when excited. Noodles is a Tripod but, that does not stop her one little bit. This adorable little girl with the cutest underbite steals everyones heart. Noah's Arks Rescue is all about giving an Abused Animal a second chance at life and to experience what true love is. We take animals that have been tortured, abused, and neglected and supply the emergency medical care required to get them well. We then provide rehab physically and mentally to prepare them for their new home and new life. We are located in Ridgeland, SC., and are by appointment only. All of our dogs are at our Rehabilitation Center either in hospice care or being loved on by staff until we find them forever homes.
