Story
Meet Sassy! This precious Boston Terrier lives up to her name. She is a 20 lb. 8 year old (1/1/2016) ball of sassiness. She was in a home previously with numerous dogs, and she loves all the attention a human can give her. She takes a little while to warm up to other dogs, so it would be best if she is the only dog. She has played with other dogs here at the rescue, but it did take an introduction period. She does have Chronic dry eyes, so she needs daily eye drops. She loves for you to play fetch with her and loves to wrestle with a blanket. She is crate , leash, and house trained. She has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed and is up to date on vaccines. Please fill out an adoption application at Richardsonrescue.org and make this girl apart of your family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 16, 2024, 2:11 pm

Story
Hi there! I’m Zipper and I lived with a family for years and now suddenly I was returned to foster care. Unfortunately, the little kid in my home developed allergies. I’m a very sweet and cuddly 6 year old Boston Terrier mix and I weigh 36 pounds. I love going for long walks and then snuggling up with my person with a good chewy treat or toy. I’m crate and house trained, I don’t mind cats and other dogs, but I do prefer to keep my toys to myself. Because I’m not a fan of sharing, maybe I’d do best in a home without small children. I also don’t mind being your only pet! If you are interested in adopting Zipper, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.***May 16, 2024, 8:12 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My given name is Bellatrix, but my foster mom calls me Bella. I am a 5-year-old Boston Terrier. Even though I am only about 19 pounds, I am pretty strong. During my daily walks, I'm fascinated with anything that moves - even a flag waving - and like to pull on my leash to investigate! I might like a fenced yard, but I don’t have one now, so my foster mom walks me about three times a day. She calls me the Neighborhood Watch Captain and I take that title very seriously. I don't bark much, but if golfers get too close in the backyard, I may bark to let them know I'm on duty. I will be best in a home with no young children or other animals. Meeting new people and animals is scary though, so I prefer we keep our distance. Some people think I'm a Diva but I don't think that's fair, because I can't help it if I'm special! If you are "my person" then I love to put my paws on your shoulders and give you lots of kisses! And if you’re a new person to me, and give me the time and space I need to get to know you, we can become friends. I am not a fan of the crate and have been quite a Houdini at figuring out my escape. I am house trained and I love to sleep in bed with my human. I love car rides and I love to eat. The doc thinks I may be allergic to chicken so we just avoid it. I love the sunshine . My foster mom puts a dog bed out on the porch in a sunny corner and I love to hang out there with her. My favorite spot to lay inside is the back of the couch where I can keep a watch outside. I am located in Aiken, SC. If you think you could be my new person, please let my rescue friends know. If you aren’t approved yet, complete your application at https://www.bostonrescueteam.com/info/adoption . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Clara Bow is approximately 3 years old and an absolute sweetheart dream dog. Her prior owner was a breeder that passed away. She is crate trained and hasn't had any accidents in her foster's house or her crate but is also given ample outside time for her business regularly. She was never leash trained but is currently working on learning how one works. She has shown zero signs of any aggression and is playful and sweet with her foster dog siblings (but was a bit shy at first). Her favorite activities are snuggling up next to her humans on the couch so they will pet her and playing keep away with her foster brother's favorite ball. She's very interested in the baby human in her foster home but is good at understanding boundaries and when she's told 'no', she listens. Clara is more interested in love and affection than treats or any other kind of reward - she's a true lover. Cat friendly status is unknown, but we don't believe Clara has a mean bone in her body. Clara Bow had surgery on 5/14 for spay and cherry eye repair. Her back legs both have patellar luxations (left leg is grade 1 but right leg is grade 4 and could potentially need surgery). She is located in Charlotte, NC. If you are a pre-approved applicant that is interested, reach out to our adoption coordinator. Contact info is in the link below. Story
This is a courtesy posting for Cornelius Animal Shelter where a dog named Petunia Grace has been living for over one year since her owner died. She was 8 years old last August and is currently about 45 pounds. Petunia is mostly black with white markings on her chest. She does need to be an only dog and likes a quiet home with no kids. Petunia Grace likes to bond with one or two people. Some of her favorite things to do are snuggling on a couch or going for a car ride! She only has one medical issue and that is she’s allergic to chicken dog food. Petunia Grace doesn’t bark for no reason but if someone she doesn’t trust approaches your/her territory, then she is an excellent guard dog who will alert you and scare people away. If you are interested in meeting Petunia and possibly adopting her, please call Cornelius Animal Shelter at 704-237-3602 to make an appointment since they have limited hours. The shelter is located at 19110 Meridian St., Cornelius, NC 28031 (which is right off Catawba Avenue in Cornelius – Exit 28 – I-77)
