Story
Bailey and her two companions were suddenly abandoned when their owners moved out west. They had been living in an outdoor kennel all their lives and had been profoundly neglected. AC ARF learned about the situation and quickly moved to get them out of their squalid environment, bathed and vetted. Two wonderful families stepped up to temporarily foster the dogs while a permanent home is found and where each will blossom and live the lives they deserve. Considering their very limited background, it is amazing that these dogs are house trained! Smart pups! Bailey, the youngest at 2 years old is a little timid when she meets someone, but warms up quickly and she was in her foster mom’s lap snuggling the first night. She is the sweetest girl. She grew up with dogs and a cat, is accustomed to children, and will be a great companion for her special person(s). A Boston terrier/feist mix, Bailey weighs 36 pounds, is spayed, heartworm negative and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She is ready for a real home. Please message us or contact Katrina at 865-414-2492 to learn more about this beautiful girl.

Story
Frankie Jean is a sweet and spunky girl who is full of love to give. Don’t let her grey face fool you, she has the energy and agility of a younger dog. Frankie loves a car ride and rides very well. She does well on a leash, and loves sniffing and exploring new surroundings. While she doesn’t show much interest in toys, Frankie has shown some interest in playing with another dog, so a well adjusted sibling may be a great fit! Frankie loves all treats and food, and will gladly sit. She is smart and definitely has capacity to learn more tricks with time! Once the adventures are over, Frankie is happiest snuggled up with you on the couch. She wants to sleep in bed with you, and wakes up excited to start the day! Frankie has separation anxiety and is in need of someone to be with her at all times. If you’re looking for a great dog all around, Frankie is your girl. She has so much love to give and will make an excellent addition to a home who can meet her needs. Story
Meet Sam Sam, a uniquely colored male ‘Splash Boston’. SamSam os mostly blind, but he is a fast learner and has adapted quickly to the new surroundings in his foster home. He is a very affectionate boy who likes to stick close to his person. SamSam would be best in an only dog home where he has human company for part of the day, although, over time, he has learned to get along with his foster sister (another Boston terrier). He would also do best in a home with a fenced in yard so he can roam (with supervision). He loves playing tug-of-war and snuggling up next to his humans, especially with his head under a blanket. Due to his blindness and unknown prior living conditions, SamSam has shown fear aggression with restraint. (i.e., vet visits, putting on his collar) but has shown some improvement while in foster care. The BasicsAge: 4.5 yearsWeight: 20 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesMicrochipped: YesVaccines Up-to-Date: YesOn Heartworm Prevention: YesOn Flea/Tick Prevention: YesHouse-Trained: YesCrate-Trained: YesLeash Skills: NoneMedical: Sam Sam is mostly blind due to cataracts and previous corneal ulcers that left him with scarring, per his vet. He’s able to sense some shadow movements on his right side, but not in the dark. He is on Trazadone for behavior when needed.Likes/DislikesToys: Likes buffalo horns, squeaky toys (with supervision), and playing tug of war.Other Animals: Does not get along with other dogs, although he has learned to get along with his foster sister. He is curious about cats, especially when they meow, but he usually backs off and finds interest in something else.People/Kids: Loves adults. Not tested with children. Must have an adult-only home.Car Rides: Tolerates short car ridesSeparation: Mild separation anxiety - is okay away from his people for short periods.Contact/Application InfoQuestions? Story
Famous Amos is looking for a special adult-only home to call his own. Amos has lived in many places and has meet several new faces in his lifetime. He is very friendly and can be very cuddly with his people, but is somewhat picky about the company he keeps. We don’t know his full story, so it’s hard to say why he feels less at ease with some people more than others. If he likes you, he absolutely adores you. We know it may take some time, but we’re hopeful his person is out there just waiting to find him!  We think if Amos could talk, he’d say he’d like a fenced yard to explore or an uncrowded walking route – one where he wouldn’t have to interact with many strangers passing close by, and a safe home space without much commotion or change. He would likely thrive most in a single person home with no other pets, but all experienced applicants will be considered so don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re interested. Amos is currently at a boarding/training facility in Aiken, SC, so you and any dog(s) in your home would have to go there to meet him. While he's been there, he’s been a friend to all. His forever family must reside in South Carolina or a surrounding state. Story
Please know  Phineas Flynn is waiting for evaluation of his eye.  Phineas Flynn is a big stout Boston terrier fellow. He is learning pushing his weight around is not a good plan.  He will be going to the trainer for some manners once his vetting is completed. He is wonderful with people and children. He has a lot of energy so a fenced yard will be a big plus in his forever home.  He does best in a gated room instead of a crate if someone is gone a long time with a strong chew toy.  He would be best as an only dog right now. The trainer will help him learn to play nicely with others. The Basics Age: 1 -2 YR Weight: 37 lbs Spayed/Neutered: yes Microchipped: yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes House-Trained: working on it.
