Duke Jackson is an 8 year old Boston Terrier that weighs about 21lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Duke is all Boston! He’s an active Boston who loves walks, toys, his crate, mealtime, and so much more!  Duke is an early riser, so it’s the perfect time to take him for an AM walk before it gets too hot, but like a true Boston, he loves to sunbathe too. Duke does great on a leash on walks or casual strolls. He is crate trained and house trained. He LOVES his toys and like to play play play, but he is learning “all done” means it’s time to rest. He currently takes Prozac to help him settle into his new routine, but we believe this could be weened off as he adjusts to life in his new furever home and a stable environment.  Duke would thrive in a home where he was the only dog. Because of his energy level, we recommend a home without children. He has some mildly elevated liver and kidney labs, so we recommend checking those at least once a year to make sure they are staying consistent.  Duke is spunky, funny, cute, and of course a little stubborn - all of the ingredients of a great Boston terrier companion! Story
Truman is a 2 year old Boston Terrier that weighs about 28lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Truman is just like his name; he is a true gentleman.  He is playful, joyful, and eager to please.  His past is less known and more of a guess.  He was found in a Walmart parking lot and was skin and bones.  Since then, he has gained as much confidence in himself and others as he has physical weight.    His favorite pastimes are chasing balls, chewing on Benebones and bully sticks, being in social settings, long walks, and tug of war.   He loves to cuddle and snuggle underneath blankets.  He will hide under furniture when he needs to feel safe or is overstimulated. Things to know about Truman in order to match him with the right forever home is that he needs to go to a quiet home.  That means a home with no young children, and no excessively barking dogs.  He does have some food aggression when it comes to treats.  He won't bite if you try to take it away, but he will growl and won't let go.  This may be because for a while he didn't know when or if he would eat again, and because he has a very high prey drive.  Truman is also an escape artist, so in his next home he will need safeguards in place to make sure this does not happen, such as a fenced in yard or the use of baby gates. In short, Truman is a very special dog.  He is one of my favorite fosters.  He deserves a loving and affectionate home, and a life of love and joy with people that he should have had from the start. Fancy is a 4 year old English Bulldog - Boston Terrier mix that weighs about 35lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Fancy is the neigborhood flirt who always wants to be the cernter of your world.  She is always on the hunt for cuddles and snuggles and will be loyal - maybe too loyal as you may find her following you to the bathroom. Fancy can also spend hours playing fetch in the yard - as long as you are by her side.  A true best friend, Fancy is waiting to see if you are her match! She can sometimes forget how big she is but is gentle enough to not mow down any little ones but a home with adults or older kids with good balance may be best.  Fancy would love to spend her nights snuggled up with her people while giving belly rubs and giving kisses. She also enjoys a good chew toy! She loves everyone, but needs a home where she is the only dog. She is very playful, but also enjoys lounging around in a comfy dog bed, whether inside or outside.  She can be shy at first but show her a kind hand and she will warm up very quickly.  She wants to give and get nothing but love and fun times! Story
Lexi is a 7 year old Boston Terrier that weighs about 17lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Lexi is learning how to to a pet and feels most comfortable when she can be just where you are! She comes off as timid and shy, but really just wants to be your companion. She has been learning to adjust in her crate, but does just fine in the home without being crated when alone, she prefers to snuggle up on a blanket or chair. Lexi came from a hoarding situation where she was not the priority, so she would do best in a home where she wouldn't be left for long periods of time, especially in a crate. She is well-mannered, just like a Boston lady. She walks on a leash nicely, is house trained, and poos and pee outside on a leash. She has become a healthy weight and eats twice a day. Story
Ziggy is a 10 year old Boston Terrier that weighs about 17lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Ziggy was surrendered to rescue by his owner due to unforeseen circumstances. He is a sweet and gentle dog that loves cuddles and prefers to sleep in bed with his human. Dont let his age fool you! Ziggy has lots of energy. He loves to play tug, go on long walks, and visit new places and animals. He does great on car rides and loves to go anywhere as long as he is with you. He is good with children and people of all ages. He is crate trained and house trained, and can go about 4-5 hours between potty breaks. He takes a daily medication for urinary frequency that helps him be able to get through the night without a potty break. He is somewhat of an early riser but does sleep through the night. Ziggy has some cloudiness in his eyes called corneal dystrophy, which doesnt affect his vision up close, but his vision is somewhat limited to see things far away. He has great hearing, though, and will come running when you call his name! Although Ziggy loves to chase any creature that enters his yard, he has never caught any :) He gets along great with the cats and horses at his foster home. Ziggy will jump up on you when excited, but in the most gentle way. He knows commands-sit, wait, and all done. He is very food motivated and will do almost anything for a treat. We think Ziggy would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day to spend time with him, go on walks, or play, and give potty breaks. He loves attention, ,is such a good boy,  and has so much love to give!
