Story
Mr. T (f.k.a. Taco) is an approximately 8 year old male Boston Terrier. He is a big sweet boy weighing around 28 pounds. He is so full of love and ready to share it with everyone that he meets! He has never met a stranger! Mr. T LOVES: - Walks! He will wait by his leash and remind you daily that he is a good boy and should get to go on a walk! - Sleeping in the sunbeam - everyday he wants to take a nice nap, belly up & soak up the sun! - Toys! - Snuggles - he requires a spot next to you (or on your lap!) - Other dogs - especially if they want to play with him! He can be a bit puppy-like in his play, so if he has a fur-sibling, they would need to be patient with him or match his playful vibe. - Car rides - he is always up for an adventure! His dream day consists of a walk, some playtime, food and snacks in between, and lots of snuggling. On a sunny day, you will find him happily snoozing in a sun beam. He is so sweet and sensitive and the perfect companion! Mr. T is Heartworm negative, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He is also house trained and crate trained. If you are interested in potentially meeting Mr. T - please fill out the adoption application. His adoption fee is $150. Adoption application available at: www.texassweetiesdogrescue.org

Story
Sweet Pea is a senior, female, Boston Terrier who weighs about 23 pounds. She turned 14 on March 17th. As her name implies, she is a such a good, sweet girl, and seems to get along with the other dogs that she has met. She is house trained and potty trained and loves to play with her toys, chew on treats, and enjoy a comfortable spot to lay. She is losing her hearing and her sight, but she adapts very well. Sweet Pea is very social and loves to be around her humans (or any humans that want to hang with her!). She is a little shadow following her people around the house and wants to be where the activity is. She is not super cuddly, but she does like to stay close by. She also likes going for car rides and visiting new places and people and eating all the treats! Sweet Pea is spayed, microchipped, HW negative, and up to date on vaccines. She does have a high grade heart murmur, and she currently takes a daily heart medication. We do have access to a few years of vet records for her, and are happy to answer any questions that we are able to about her. She is such a sweet and special girl, and deserves the best golden years! She is a senior and does need a home that knows she has some conditions that will need monitored for progression. If you are interested in potentially meeting Sweet Pea, please fill out the adoption application. Her adoption fee $150. Adoption application available at: www.texassweetiesdogrescue.org

Story
Holding Out for Hero: Brimsley’s Second Chance Brimsley is a striking, soulful boy with a charcoal “pirate” patch, amber-flecked eyes, a pink freckled nose, and the softest velvety ears you’ll ever feel. At three years old, he’s past the puppy stage but still full of life, quietly hoping his story is about to turn a brighter page. He was once adopted as a puppy and grew up knowing the comfort of a home, but he has found his way back through no fault of his own. His previous family cared for him, but they didn’t have the resources to provide the basic care he needed. Now, everything familiar is gone, and the busy shelter environment has left him confused and a little unsure. Even so, Brimsley hasn’t lost his gentle heart—he’s just waiting for someone to show him that he’s safe again. With a little patience and kindness, Brimsley begins to lean in, revealing a deeply loyal and loving companion who wants nothing more than to belong. He’s good with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine friend or a calm home where he can settle in at his own pace. He is neutered and ready to start fresh with someone willing to be his steady, reassuring presence. Bringing Brimsley home means offering him the second chance he deserves—and in return, you’ll gain a devoted companion whose gratitude is felt in every quiet moment by your side. If you feel that pull to be the hero he’s been holding out for, reach out to learn more about adopting or fostering him.

Story
Hi, I'm Rosie. I'm a 1year old Boston mix that loves to run and explore around the yard. I'm sure you're wondering about my cleft but no worries I can eat and drink just fine. It gives me a super unique and cute look though. I love, love, love stuffed toys and antlers. I also LOVE to snuggle with my hoomans. I don't do so well with other females as I want to be the only Queen in the house but I play well with the gentlemen after proper introduction. I wasn't house or kennel trained when my rescue took me in and I came to my foster home but my foster mom worked hard on it with me and now I'm good if I'm let out regularly. My foster mom says I'm a joy to have around and I will make a great family member to the right family. If you're interested in meeting my cute self and make me part of your family please fill out an adoption application for me at adoption.poundpupandfriends.org. My adoption donation is $150 and for that I'm spayed, microchipped, up to date on my vaccines, heartworm. Negative and current on hw and flea prevention. I sure hope to meet my new furever family soon ❤ No out of state adopters accepted - Texas only. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Story
*CURRENT OWNER WILL HELP W/ TRANSPORT & EXPENSES!. 40 LBS. Rebel is my best friend and I love her to pieces. I've had her for 8 years. I am moving out of the country near the end of July and would love to take her- but they will not ship her breed and she may not do well in that environment at her age. I am hoping to find a home for her where she would have a yard and I would be happy to help pay for expenses indefinitely. Rebel loves all people and she mostly cuddles- but is down to do anything. She has no health problems and is a very happy girl. She gets along with SOME other dogs… but not all. She was attacked by an escaped dog, so she usually gets scared of other dogs at first, and then if she meets them and trusts them, she warms up and will even cuddle with them and play. Please let me know if you may be interested in having this sweet girl in your life. Even a temp foster would be great so I have some more time to find a permanent home or find a way to transport her. Thank you!
