Story
Meet Vivi — Your Energetic, Loyal, and Loving Companion!Vivi is a stunning 2-year-old Boston Terrier, weighing about 30 pounds, with a huge heart and an even bigger desire to be close to her people. She came to CAWS as a rescue, and to everyone’s surprise, she was pregnant. This sweet girl went on to deliver one beautiful baby girl, and she has been a wonderful, attentive mama. Now she's weaned her baby, has been spayed and is ready for her new adventures with her new forever family.Vivi is incredibly affectionate and will happily climb right into your lap for snuggles. If you’re looking for loyalty, this girl has it in abundance. She’s young, playful, and full of energy. She loves playing with other dogs and her baby, and she thrives with daily exercise. Like many young pups, she’s still in her “chewy” phase, but with continued training and structure, she’ll learn to channel that energy in the right ways.Vivi can be a bit protective of her people and may try to hog all the attention—she just loves her humans that much. With consistency and guidance, she’ll learn to share the spotlight. Vivi gets along better with dogs her size or bigger. A home without other dogs would be the best fit. If you’re looking for a devoted, fun, and loving dog who will adore you with her whole being, Vivi might be the perfect match. She can’t wait to find a family who appreciates her big personality and even bigger heart.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet David, the sweetest, snuggliest little guy around! David is nine months old, a mix of chihuahua / Boston Terrier. David has a tender little heart. He likes to play with his sister and other dogs, and occasionally gets the zoomies. Mostly, he wants to follow his person around to take part in human adventures. And by adventures, he means naps. He is very snuggly and mellow, with occasional spurts of puppy energy, especially when playing with other dogs. He’s very gentle and knows the limits of appropriate play. David gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. He hasn’t been tested around cats. David is a typical puppy: if he’s quiet and out of sight for too long, you’ll want to see what shenanigans he’s up to. He’ll gladly eat your plants or shoelaces if given the chance, but his big brown eyes of apology make everything ok! David understands the doggie door and is working on his potty training. He loves a trip out to the yard for potty time, with time to explore the many mysteries of the back yard. David would do best in a home with other dogs to play with, and dog-savvy children who know how to play gently with small animals. The more his people are home to be with him, the better, because although he will spend time in a kennel, he doesn’t like it very much. David is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heart-worm negative. Is he a perfect fit for your family? Our guess is yes! If you are interested in adopting David, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt).
