Bodhi is ready for adoption. He’s a 2-1/2 year old, 50 lb. Boston/Pit Bull mix who is housebroken, neutered and UTD on vaccines. Bodhi was aggressive towards other dogs. He even attacked a dog. Bodhi went through an intensive four-week board and train program with a professional trainer. He has not had an aggressive episode since completing training. He receives periodic sustainment training, and has even made some dog friends at the training facility. Bodhi and his foster dad enjoy walks through downtown Fredericksburg where they encounter hundreds of people, dogs, motorcycles, and other loud things. Bodie loves going to Home Depot and his behavior has been perfect. Everyone who meets Bodhi loves him because he’s so handsome and sweet. He is a favorite among his trainers. Bodhi will thrive in a home where he is an only pet and has room to play. Bodhi enjoys being close to his humans and loves being petted. He knows the heel command, walks at his foster’s side, and rarely notices other dogs now. Since he’s a young dog with lots of energy, Bodhi would benefit from having a fenced yard. Bodhi is fostered in Stafford, VA. With his playful spirit and affectionate personality, he’ll happily bring joy to any home. The only thing he asks is a cat-free environment, since our feline friends aren’t his cup of tea. Healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative, Otis is ready to start fresh. Reeses is a great dog. Super lovable, snuggle bug, loves to explore and go outside, is obsessed with toy balls, and is incredibly smart. He is super sweet and loves meeting people! Loves the water, basking in the sun, and is a 10/10 car dog! Needs a home as soon as possible where he will be loved!

This young, 35-pound Boston Terrier mix has come such a long way since arriving at the shelter. At first, he was a little unsure and feisty — the world can be a big, scary place when you’re not sure who to trust. But every day, he’s showing more of his sweet, gentle nature, and we’re so proud of how far he’s come. Now, Chicken Nugget is calm and easy to handle. He’s learning that harness time means adventure, not worry, and he’s a wonderful walking buddy. On leash, he stays relaxed and does well walking alongside other dogs. He also seems to do well with other pups overall — meet and greets are always required, of course, to make sure it’s the perfect fit. And there’s even more good news: Chicken Nugget may have the potential to live successfully with feline friends! He’s shown appropriate curiosity and behavior that tells us he could be a good match with the right cat and careful introductions. When you call him over, he’ll lean softly against your knees, soaking up every bit of love, and he’ll reward you with gentle, grateful kisses. He’s fully vetted, neutered, and ready to start the next chapter of his life — one filled with soft beds, kind words, and a person who’ll see the wonderful dog he truly is. Because while he’s gained confidence and calmness here, Chicken Nugget’s heart is waiting to belong to someone. He’ll do best in an adult-only home where he can continue to grow and feel safe.
