Meet Rory 🐾 Rory is an 8–9-year-old pug with the sweetest, personality. He’s great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and is happiest simply being near his people. Whether he’s curled up at your feet or snoozing under a desk while you work, Rory is the definition of a loyal companion. He enjoys toys from time to time, but at this stage in life, he much prefers lounging and soaking up a calm, cozy environment. Rory absolutely loves food (as most pugs do!), and we’ve been working on his manners, especially resisting the urge to pop up when people are eating. He can also be a little grumpy if you try to take food from him or if you try to cut his nails so we’re working on that as well. Rory would likely thrive in a home where someone is around for a good portion of the day, as he truly enjoys companionship, though he does handle being left alone just fine. He has made great progress with marking behavior, and we are hopeful that now that he is neutered this will help resolve this completely. A quick but important note for anyone considering adopting Rory, or any pug: this breed can be high-maintenance. Pugs are prone to skin conditions, spinal problems, eye issues, and breathing challenges, so it’s important to be prepared for potential extra care, cost, and vet needs. Doing your research on the breed is essential to ensure it’s the right fit for your lifestyle. Rory is a loving, laid-back little guy who is ready to find a home where he can relax, be adored, and spend his days close to his people.
