Story
Mila J - loving, sweet, obedient, loves her human Mila was rescued as a young pup. She, her litter mates, and their mom (Chihuahua) were abandoned on top of trashcan. However, they survived the conditions that they were left in and she has grown to be a healthy dog since. Now, she almost 10yrs of age and still playful and loving as ever. She really enjoys rub downs, kisses, snacks, and any food you or your kids leave on the ground haha. She is a pretty calm and chill pup, but she still has it in her to run around and play or fetch a ball here and there. She loves greeting you when you get home with a toy! She also really loves lounging, especially when she can get a good sunbathe! She's innocent and in need of a single person, couple, or family who can give her lots of love and attention. She is able to be around other pets and is not aggressive, however, she loves being "the baby" haha. So far, she has been the only pet in the house for the past almost 10yrs. Come get your baby!

Story
Bodhi is ready for adoption. He's a 2-1/2 year old, 51 lb. Boston/Pit Bull mix who is housebroken, neutered and UTD on vaccines. Bodhi was a wonderful dog 99 percent of the time, but he was aggressive towards other dogs before he was trained. He even attacked a dog. Bodhi went through an intensive four-week board and train program with a professional trainer. Since completing his training, Bodhi has not had an aggressive episode; he's been a wonderful dog 100 percent of the time. Bodhi and his foster dad now enjoy walks through downtown Fredericksburg where they encounter hundreds of people, dogs, motorcycles, and other loud things. They go inside stores together. Bodhi's behavior has been perfect. Everyone who meets Bodhi loves him because he's so handsome and sweet. Bodhi will thrive in a home where is an only pet and has room to play. Bodhi enjoys being close to his humans and loves being petted. He knows the heel command, walks at his foster's side, and rarely notices other dogs now. Since he's a young dog with lots of energy, Bodhi would benefit from having a fenced yard. Bodhi is fostered in Stafford, VA. Bodhi's fee is sponsored. If you are interested in learning more about him, please submit an application: https://www.odbtr.org/adoption-application-form.html. We will not respond to inquiries until we receive your application.

Story
Maggie is ready for adoption. She’s an adorable,1-1/2 year old, 17 pound girl who is healthy, spayed, UTD on vaccines and housebroken. Maggie is turbo level, so will need an active home where she is able to burn that energy. She’s good with most other dogs after a proper introduction, but is a bit possessive of her people and will try and nip at the other dog if they’re being picked up. Maggie is good, but curious around cats. She is hesitant around strangers; it has normally taken a little bit for her to warm up to them. Her foster family is still working on her jumping up to greet people and for that reason, only a home with older children will be considered. Her foster dad says Maggie is a sweet girl and very much a puppy still with all the puppy energy. She loves toys, to give kisses and snuggle under the blankets when going to bed. She’s good on a leash, but still hyper and will pull. Since she loves to run, a home with a secure fenced yard is a must. Maggie is located in Norfolk, VA. After we receive an application, which you can find on our website www.odbtr.org, we can give you more details. Give us the time it takes you to submit an app and we’ll give you our full attention.

Story
Buddy's foster shared that he gets along great with other dogs and is really loving and wants to be loved. Like most young dogs, he is quite energetic and definitely needs exercise and some training, but he learns quickly. He sleeps in a crate really well overnight and appears to be completely house trained. He likes to play a little rough so having an older, larger dog for him to pal around with and learn from would be great for him. Thank you for your interest in Buddy (aka Bruno)! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=18282 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Buddy (aka Bruno), or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

Story
Everyone loves a Boston Terrier and so do we!  This girl is not one of those well bred BT's but one of those that needs the most help!  Our girl is called Jettie and She is a 22 pound,  9 year old mostly black female Boston Terrier girl that is healthy and happy and looking for a home.  Feisty and confident like most Bostons, this girl has alot of spunk, and alternatively really enjoys napping by your feet. Her story is that her owner died and the owner’s son took her to live with him. It was not he happy time and situation for Jettie.  This innocent and lost little girl was put at that time, and only 17 pounds, in the back yard with his Pit Bulls.  HORRORS!!!!!   OF COURSE things went wrong and based on the fact that animal control was called, she was surrendered with so many wounds on her body, neck and tail. Despite the nightmare, she is still loving and trusting and just wanting to BELONG.  This girl has been in foster care for the past month and the wounds are healed on the outside but emotionally she is constantly looking over her shoulder to see if she needs to protect herself. Can you help Jettie?  She is not a shrinking violet and out of survival instinct, a girl who will be appreciative for whatever is done for her.  Since she has always been 'defending' herself, we are asking for an ONLY DOG HOME for her.   We don't want her to always be looking over her shoulder at another dog coming to hurt her.  I think she learned to growl and act like an alpha to thwart the constant aggression she was living with. Because of that, I feel that she has earned the right to belong to a living family who has no other dogs…She respects the cat and dogs in the foster home because they show her no malice, but on  occasion she will growl and posture if she feels threatened. If you can handle that tension for while till it subsides then fine....but it is there.  She is a loving dog who longs for walks, cuddles and the love of a human(s) in a safe and loving environment!  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm
