But, if you’re not up for a trip to outer space, you can make the much shorter trip to PACC to meet a different Hydra! Hydra is a sweet senior citizen who came to PACC when she lost her person. She’s dreaming of a journey of her own- one that takes her back into a loving home! Here’s what one volunteer said:“Hydra is a real sweetheart who walks very well on a loose leash. After a few minutes to warm up to me, she became very affectionate. Hydra loves treats, which she takes with a soft mouth.”Hydra was a bit nervous when meeting other dogs in playgroup but warmed up and was tolerant overall. She explored the yard, mostly keeping to herself. Hydra would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Hydra today!!

When taken to the groomer she was very compliant. 3.Experience with cats? unk. Honestly I think she would do well with them but I do not know. 4.Experience with kids? unk. Children may be difficult for her due to her fear of loud people. 5.Details on leash training, crate training and other training commands known: Nala is learning to walk on a leash, learning down, sit and come. She is a quick study!6.Details on personal history, if known (how did he/she arrive at the shelter): She was found on Palo Verde between Irvington and Valencia at a Circle K. she came out to be seen when her partner was approached. This Dog’s Characteristics1.Describe cuddling behavior/affection level: SUPER sweet, cuddly, affectionate and loves attention. When she gets attention its all she can do to trust you and is so grateful, she will cradle her head in your hand or `lean in`. 2.Describe play behavior and favorite toys: Nala is 3-4 and when we gave her a nylabone she went to work chewing which was great to see. she has not chewed on anything she has not been given. She likes to eat the mesquite beans in the yard. 3.Describe activity level: She has enjoyed short walks and is learning to trust that, when her partner Deejay is included she is most happy. she enjoys resting as she has had a hard life but is in the stages of forming her personality!4.Look into the dog’s eyes. What is he/she telling you? I am scared to trust but the consistency has brought happiness to her eyes. She panicks a little if Deejay is not there and she is unsure if you will return him. if she is uncomfortable she will gently step back and expects to be treated poorly. She seems relieved when her kindness and trust is not harmed. 5.What are the best adjectives to describe this dog? Sweet and loving, loyal and calm. She wants a person to rely on. 6.What does the dog specifically DO that exemplifies those adjectives (ex. Maybe a good adjective for the dog is “loving”. You know that because he lays his head in your lap.) Just likes to be near, her tail is wagging and she will follow you around! All she wants is love and a ball. We rescued Fancy at 8 weeks old in 2021. She is well mannered polite and minds well (mostly) She is a bit head strong and spoons me when we sleep. She gives kisses before dinner and is so gentle with her xxxx@xxxx.x not her toys. She's cold easily and loves to cuddle. She's scared of the broom and loud noises so she thinks she's a lap dog. She is Crate trained but mostly sleeps in my bed. My heart is broken in a million pieces because she is my love. We have 4 other dogs and she is very jealous. After one of the little dogs was attacked and got lots of attention she started showing more jealousy and even aggression towards the other 4 dogs. That scares me because of the nature of her breed and strength. I am hoping that someone without other pets will see her and love her as much as I do. It's not her fault she wants all the lovins. She is Scheduled to be surrendered to PAC on Feb 4th and I am just broken with that Thought. Please Love My Special Girl.
