Story
Viewable in Shelter: Yes, in dog kennels***Meet Rupert!Rupert has been on quite the journey with the SPCA team and his foster. He came to us with a severe skin infection, but after months of care and love, he has made an incredible recovery. His hair has almost completely grown back and he has gained weight.Once he started to feel better, Rupert's sweet personality began to shine. He loves his toys, enjoys his walks, and absolutely adores other dogs. His gentle nature even helped other dogs in the shelter come out of their shells.Rupert is now thriving in his foster home and showing off his silly, loving side. He would do best in a home with another dog or with people who are home often, as he can have some separation anxiety.Rupert will need lifelong medication for his thyroid and ongoing care for his skin and ears. Most importantly, Rupert deserves to spend the rest of his life pain free and surrounded by love. He is truly adored by everyone at the shelter and we cannot wait to see him find his perfect home.***Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Rupert's person? Story
Viewable in Shelter: No, in fosterMeet Kiya!Kiya is a one in a million dog. She came to us very overweight, with joint and leg issues. Even though she was in pain, she was still one of the happiest, most affectionate dogs we have met in a long time. She really is everyone's best friend. She is a little fish who loves to swim, which is perfect since she cannot walk as much as she would like right now while we figure out what is going on with her legs. Kiya has no sense of personal space and will happily follow you from room to room, always right by your side. This senior girl went without proper care for far too long and deserves to live the rest of her life pain free, surrounded by as much love as she gives to everyone around her.***Thank you for your interest in adopting!
