Story
I adopted Bear from two young ladies that rescued him from a kill shelter retrained him to re-home him. I’ve had Bear since age 3 he is now 9. He is the best dog I’ve ever had. He is such a good boy. He enjoys playing tug a war with his toys. He’ll run and get his toys for you to play with him. He loves walks anywhere but loves the beach. He’s wonderful with other dogs. I’ve never had him around a cat so not sure about that. He is great around kids. I’ve had my grandkids around him for many years and he’s great. He loves sunbathing. He does jump up on men when they walk into our home but he just wants to play. He’s trained to sleep on his dog bed and crate trained also. He will sneak onto the couch when no one is looking silly boy. He’s a big Ike goof he prances around in excitement. Help me please my life situation has changed drastically and I can’t keep him.

Story
🐾 Meet Jax – The Sweetest Gentleman in Bakersfield! 🐾 This handsome 2-year-old black and white boxer mix showed up at our driveway skin-and-bones, hungry, and covered in fleas. We gave him food, water, and some much-needed TLC — and he’s been nothing but grateful ever since. Jax is the definition of gentle. He’s great with big dogs, little dogs, and even cats (he got hissed at once and decided cats are clearly the bosses). He’s not aggressive at all — in fact, he’s been known to politely back away when smaller dogs get bossy. ✅ Neutered ✅ Microchipped (will be transferred to us) ✅ Vaccinated ✅ Crate trained (sleeps through the night!) ✅ Mastered the doggie door ✅ Treat-taking champion (soft mouth, perfect sit) He’s the kind of dog who will happily be your walking buddy, couch companion, and best friend all in one. He also has this beautiful black coat with chocolate brown highlights throughout. Its very cool! Located in Bakersfield, CA and ready to find his forever home! 📍 Apply to adopt: muttsandrunts.org/application Let’s find this sweet boy the loving home he deserves! 💙🐾
