Story

We believe Dakota is about 6 1/2 years old. She’s a great Dane boxer mix and favorite Scooby Doo. We took her in just about two years ago from a family friend who was combining households and his dog and Dakota did not get along so they asked us to take in Dakota since then our lifestyle has changed and she is now home up to 12 hours a day if not longer by herself, we do not feel that is fair to her and are looking for a great home that has time for her. She is potty trained, but does have accidents due to the long amount of times that she is home Alone.

Story

Bailey is a 7 month year old Boxer/Pitt mix. He has such a unique and loving personality. He is a high energy dog. Loves walks and hikes. With more training he could also be a great running companion. He loves running through the sprinklers. Loves tug a war. Plays great with other dogs. Shares food, water and toys. Is not territorial. We are asking for no fee. Just a loving family My 70 year old mother was back and forth about keeping him she grew attached to him. But is realizing he is too much for her as she’s getting older and much slower. He did graduate from puppy training. He knows the basics. Is potty trained and house trained. Shots are up to date and rabies. He is neutered. 42 pounds last time he went to the vet 2 weeks ago. He would be a great dog for an active family. If you are interested please feel to leave a message. I will respond asap. Thank you

Size

(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

Gunner’s owner, my Mother n Law, recently passed away. He is a sweet boy that was protective of his Mom, lived and loved his dog and cat companion, and was great with her grandkids. He loves being outside to fetch and smell for ground critters. He is a mix hound breed about 5 1/2 years old. We currently have pets of our own with anxiety issues so we just can’t take him in. Gunner needs someone to play fetch a lot, take him for walks outside, a little work with potty training (he goes outside great but she would let him use pee pads in the house) and have patience with him with new people and his hatred for vet visits. Also a fun fact is he has extra toes on his back paws. We live in Jacksonville and are willing to bring him to you.

Story

Meet Charmy! A girl who truly lives up to her name! She’s playful, adventurous, and always ready for a sniff-filled walk or a good zoom around the yard. Charmy already knows her basic commands, is crate trained, and is highly food motivated, which makes her eager to continue learning new things. Charmy has done wonderfully in a foster home and should settle in beautifully with her forever family. All she asks for is a cozy bed to snooze in and a quiet yard where she can sniff, explore, and soak up the sunshine. Charmy would do best as the only dog in the home, but she absolutely adores people and affection — even if she gets a little extra excited when meeting someone new! If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion to be your one-and-only, Charmy is ready to charm her way right into your heart. If she sounds like a good fit for your home, please apply on our website: k9fw.org/AdoptionApplication

Bobo

American Bulldog English Bulldog

Size

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Details

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,

Story

We adopted Bobo from ACPS a few months ago, and he has quickly become such a sweet and special part of our family. When we adopted him, he had an issue with one of his eyes. After taking him to the vet, we learned that he had a perforated cornea and that the best option for him was to have the eye removed. Since his surgery, Bobo has done amazing! Having one eye doesn't slow him down at all. He is just as active, playful, and happy as any dog with two eyes. Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to find Bobo a new home. He has started to not do so well with another dog in our home. As sad as we are to rehome him, we feel this is the best decision for Bobo and for our household. Bobo is housetrained, has been around kids with no issues, and is incredibly sweet and cuddly. He can be a little hesitant around adults when he first meets them, but once he realizes he is safe and you mean him no harm, he warms up quickly and loves being close to you. Fee negotiable
