Two ear surgeries later and this good girl is all healthy and ready to find her forever home, and she has an adorable wonky ear to match! Penny is a 7–8-year-old, ~50 lb spayed American Pit Bull Terrier/Black Mouth Cur mix who hasn’t slowed down one bit—she’s a fun, high-energy girl who loves being part of everything you do. ​ She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic cues. Penny is extremely affectionate and snuggly and will happily climb right into your lap—her signature move is sliding and rolling over at the same time to ask for belly rubs. ​ Penny needs to be an only pet (no dogs/cats/other animals). She can get overly excited and jumpy, so she’s not a match for small or high-energy kids; she’d do best with adults or calm, dog-savvy older kids/teens. Penny also loves to chew and will destroy items left within reach, so she needs supervision, appropriate chew toys, and an active home that can give her daily exercise and attention. ​ Rehoming is only because her owner can’t give her the time/energy she deserves—Penny will thrive with someone who wants an affectionate shadow and has time to keep her busy.
