But just like the character he was named after, he’s slowly, bravely finding his footing.We were told he is a mix of apple-headed Chihuahua and Boxer, and his beautiful red coat makes him just as striking on the outside as he is tender on the inside.Yukon doesn’t rush. He doesn’t demand. He gently reveals who he is when he feels safe. For the people he trusts, he becomes playful, silly, and surprisingly goofy. Watching him come out of his shell has been one of the quiet joys of our shelter.Yukon Cornelius needs a patient, kind-hearted home — someone who understands that healing isn’t instant and love is built slowly. Meet Tux! This young male bully mix pup was found as a stray, and then later identified by unwanted by his previous owner. After some much needed TLC he is now healing and feeling much better! The staff at the vet clinic absolutely loved him at first sight. He is smaller, only about 30 lbs, and full of love! Tux didn't do well with cats, but was just fine with other dogs and people. Trained and ready for his true, furever home. Tux is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and receiving flea, tick and heartworm prevention.
