Story
Silas is an active boy, kind of goofy. He was born to a litter of 5 in October of 2025 and has been with two of his sisters since then. Dad is a boxer mix and mom is a Jack Russell mix so he is very loyal and loves to play! He is sweet with children, including littles. He loves his chew toys and will chase a ball or frisbee. He is still learning to be on a leash for walks, but doesn't pull, he just likes to wander and explore. He loves to be with his people and although he is crate trained, he can still have accidents if left alone for too long. Silas is super affectionate and cuddly when he calms down. Would be an ideal pup for an active family with children and would love to buddy up with another young dog.

Story
This is our new friend, Smokey!Smokey is a boxer mix and, let me tell you folks, he loves to be around people. So long as there aren`t any milkbones, his attention is on his person nearby. He would love a home with someone to hold him through thunderstorms (they`re scary). Smokey is used to living with an older gentleman but is open to loving a person of ANY age.Smokey loves toys, treats, and other dogs!He gets quite excited around cats, so we advise caution if you were to take him into a home with one. Smokey would probably take some work to get used to a feline friend.Consider coming out to meet Smokey!!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Nelly! ❤️   Nelly (fka Azel) is a beautiful Boxer mix with a heart that's just waiting for the right person to help it shine. After being returned to our shelter, she's looking for a fresh start with a family that understands that trust takes time. Nelly can be a little nervous and reactive - when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations, and she's sensitive to certain noises, but once she feels safe and knows you're part of her circle, her goofy, loving personality begins to blossom. She enjoys spending time with her people and forms strong, loyal bonds with those she loves. Nelly is looking for a home with older children (ages 16 and up) or adults only, as younger children are not the best fit for her. She can also be protective of her home and the people she cares about, so she'll thrive with patient adopters who are committed to continuing her training, building her confidence, and helping her feel secure. With consistency, understanding, and plenty of positive reinforcement, Nelly has all the potential to become an incredibly devoted companion. If you're willing to give this sweet girl the time she deserves, you'll be rewarded with a loyal best friend who will love you with her whole heart. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 10, 2026, 3:28 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
- Kind soul who loves to be busy and connect with people through play and other activities - Does best with a harness on walks - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him (mature home recommended) - Tends to avoid other dogs (dog intro recommended) The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 74.5 Age: 6yrs 0mths 3wks
