Story
Silas is an active boy, kind of goofy. He was born to a litter of 5 in October of 2025 and has been with two of his sisters since then. Dad is a boxer mix and mom is a Jack Russell mix so he is very loyal and loves to play! He is sweet with children, including littles. He loves his chew toys and will chase a ball or frisbee. He is still learning to be on a leash for walks, but doesn't pull, he just likes to wander and explore. He loves to be with his people and although he is crate trained, he can still have accidents if left alone for too long. Silas is super affectionate and cuddly when he calms down. Would be an ideal pup for an active family with children and would love to buddy up with another young dog.

Story
- Kind soul who loves to be busy and connect with people through play and other activities - Does best with a harness on walks - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him (mature home recommended) - Tends to avoid other dogs (dog intro recommended) The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Story
- Loves spending time with people - could YOU be his next BFF? - Young kiddos may be a little overwhelming for this guy, so he'd thrive in a mature home with people who understand and respect canine body language (mature home recommended) - Enjoys like-minded dog friends but may take time to warm up; would be most comfortable with a slow, careful introduction to new pup pals - Would likely benefit from a confident dog brother or sister in his new residence This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program.
