Story
Betsy is a FUN dog who loves to be with other dogs, maternal and bouncy. She is not aggressive or bossy but does have a bark and her terrier DNA comes out when meeting new smaller dogs. She has spent most of her time with bigger dogs and enjoys being the 'shortie' of the playgroup. Betsy is not food motivated, nibbles through the day, but has managed to become a bit fluffy. 50 lb dog now, she loves car rides, water! and sunbathing. Betsy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and very health - a bit fluffy as she has matured, now 4 years old. Her breed had been a guess until now! a donated DNA test revealed the classic Houston mutt mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Lab, Boxer, German Shepherd, Shar Pei, Chow Chow. She is a short dog with medium double coat and a sharp mind. YouTube Video (meet Betsy): https://youtu.be/pGvcZikCFFc FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Email to Apply! Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org --------------------------------------------------- Visit our Social Media to see more of our dogs! https://www.facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX History: Betsy came to another rescue with nursing puppies in June of 2023. She has been fostered with kids, other dogs and in a house/apartment. She is crate trained and loves routine - literally bounces up and down, runs outside then back into her crate to nap. She would benefit from a yard due to her energy.

Story
Meet Queen – The Hug-Demanding Diva You Never Knew You Needed Age: 9 years young Weight: 58 pounds of pure love Breed: Boxer (and part-time stand-up comedian) Do you ever wish your dog loved you just a little too much? Well, buckle up, because Queen is here to meet all your emotional support AND personal space invasion needs. She’s been waiting a whole YEAR for her forever kingdom – er, home – and she’s not giving up until she finds her royal subjects. Queen has one rule: you must hug her. Not optional. If you try to ignore her, she’ll launch herself into your arms like a furry torpedo and wrap her paws around you until you comply. Resistance is futile. Hugs now, questions later. She’s great with kids (tiny humans love royalty), adores adults (especially the hug-friendly ones), and can outlast puppies in the Zoomie Olympics. That’s right – this 9-year-old wonder woman regularly puts 6-month-old pups to shame with her energy. Age is just a number, darling. Queen is a velcro dog. Whatever you’re doing, she’s doing. Whether it's walking, road-tripping, or supervising your snack choices, she will be by your side with a look that says, “You’re doing great, sweetie.” She gets along with other dogs but would absolutely thrive as the center of attention. (What can we say? She likes the spotlight. She's earned it.) A physically fenced yard is a must for her royal zoomies, and in winter, she expects a wardrobe that reflects her regal status. Hoodies are non-negotiable. Queen has waited a long time for someone to say, "You're mine." Could that be you? Queen is housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. If you would like to meet Queen, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Queen you can contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Indoor homes only. Adopters within two hours of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Adoption donation $300.

Story
🌟 Meet Nikki! 🌟 📅 Age: 4 months 🐶 Breed: Boxer/Hound Mix If you’re looking for a puppy who’s equal parts adorable goofball and snuggly sweetheart, look no further — Nikki is your girl! This precious little lady has mastered the art of joyful living. In the yard, she hops… er, runs?… around the garden like a tiny snow bunny, bringing instant happiness to anyone watching. Her current obsession is the orange squeaky ball — and honestly, any ball will do. She’ll happily run around with one in her mouth for hours, tossing it for herself, chasing it down, squeaking it proudly, and starting the fun all over again. Nikki LOVES to roughhouse with the big dogs and absolutely does not realize they are three times her size. Confidence? ✔️ Puppy playfulness? ✔️ Pure entertainment? ✔️✔️✔️ She adores her food and is very food-motivated, making her eager and responsive to training. She already knows sit and lay down, and she’s currently working on potty training with great progress. With consistency (and treats), she’s going to be a rockstar student. Kennels aren’t her favorite at first, but after a few minutes of protesting, she settles nicely and relaxes like the good girl she is. At home, Nikki is generally quiet unless she’s trying to convince the big dogs to play. She’s the perfect mix of rambunctious puppy energy and sweet affection. At the end of the day, she transforms into a huge snuggler, happiest curled up in a human’s arms, soaking up all the love and drifting off into the coziest nap imaginable. 💛 Nikki is ready to bring laughter, love, and endless tail wags to her forever family. If you think that could be you, reach out today — she can’t wait to hop into your heart. 🐾 If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out an application, using the link below. Please specify which dog you are interested in. Applications without a specific dog, or otherwise incomplete, will not be considered. Adoption fee is $425. Includes spay/neuter, current vaccines, and microchipping. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ITAV/Dog For more pictures and information on this pup, please visit our website at https://www.ittakesavillage.dog/adopt
