Story
Luna is a great dog but she needs someone who can give her more exercise and needs a yard with a fence. She has been trained with an invisible fence but has occasionally went over it! I travel a lot and I am planning on opening my own business and will not have the time she needs and it’s not fair to her! She is good with kids as I have several grandkids. She does demand acknowledgement from them with lots of pets and kisses first get there because she is excited! She loves people but is very cautious at first but warms up fast. The fee is negotiable but I think a fee will get her a good home! She has been update on all her shots on 5/16/2026 she is kennel trained but I do not use it very much! She does not get on furniture except my bed but listen to commands if I don’t want her on it! She is going thru an intense training right now that’s 2600 so I would like to recoup that! Please let me know if you have any other questions

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Nelly! ❤️   Nelly (fka Azel) is a beautiful Boxer mix with a heart that's just waiting for the right person to help it shine. After being returned to our shelter, she's looking for a fresh start with a family that understands that trust takes time. Nelly can be a little nervous and reactive - when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations, and she's sensitive to certain noises, but once she feels safe and knows you're part of her circle, her goofy, loving personality begins to blossom. She enjoys spending time with her people and forms strong, loyal bonds with those she loves. Nelly is looking for a home with older children (ages 16 and up) or adults only, as younger children are not the best fit for her. She can also be protective of her home and the people she cares about, so she'll thrive with patient adopters who are committed to continuing her training, building her confidence, and helping her feel secure. With consistency, understanding, and plenty of positive reinforcement, Nelly has all the potential to become an incredibly devoted companion. If you're willing to give this sweet girl the time she deserves, you'll be rewarded with a loyal best friend who will love you with her whole heart. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 17, 2026, 12:47 pm

Story
Pickles is a 3-year-old Beagle/Boxer mix with a truly one-of-a-kind look — and a heart to match. Her soft, soulful eyes and gentle spirit tell the story of a girl who hasn’t had the easiest start, but who’s ready to soak up all the love she’s missed out on. Pickles is the definition of a velcro dog — she always wants to be close to her people, whether that means curling up beside you on the couch or climbing right into your lap for snuggles. When she gets excited, she breaks into the cutest little tippy-taps with her paws that are guaranteed to melt your heart. Pickles is lover of playtime and can sometimes play a little rough with people she trusts, but we think with a little training she'll be able to regulate that in no time. She’s friendly and social with every dog she meets and has a sweet, submissive play style that makes her a great companion for canine friends. Pickles is also wonderful with kids, but her prey drive kicks in a little too much when she's around cats, so she'd do best in a home without them. This smart girl is potty-trained, crate-trained, and knows her basic manners. She responds to her name and walks well on a leash. Pickles is both food- and praise-motivated, making her eager to please and a joy to train. Pickles would thrive in just about any loving home — whether it’s with another dog or as the center of attention — as long as she has her own people to love and stay close to. She’s a sweetheart through and through, just happy to be alive and ready to share that happiness with you. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’ll stick by your side through thick and thin, Pickles is your girl.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am
