Story
Diesel (10/30/2018) a Boxer/Corgi mix.  Diesel has a heart as big as his paws.  He loves to lounge in the sun while watching the bunnies and birds.  He thinks he is part of the neighborhood watch monitoring everything going on.  He loves to run around the backyard.  He would be best as the only dog in the home.  He loves to be a part of the family and is amazing with kids.  In his spare time, he will steal your water bottle, go on walks, napping, snoring and playing with his squeaker toys.  Diesel is laid-back and will lay all over your bed, and get all the cuddles.  Can you provide Diesel with his furever home and lots of belly rubs? The suggested adoption donation for Diesel is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $300,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##363013##

Story
Groot (10/31/21) is a Boxer/Pitbull mix.  We are getting to know Groot but here is what we know.  He would do best in a home with no children or older children (16+ years old).  He would love a home that someone could be home with him for most of the day, he isn’t fond of being alone.  He does need a home that would be consistent with continued training and building his confidence.  Can you give Groot his furever home? The suggested adoption donation for Groot is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Story
Ryder (b. 9/2013)  is a boxer mix who has recently moved to the area with his family. Unfortunately his family is not able to continue to give him the love and attention that they would like since the move. He is a friendly, happy go lucky dog who loves to spend time with his people.  He is good around other dogs and children. He would love a home with a backyard so he can spend time relaxing in the sun. Although he likes to lay at your feet and relax, he also enjoys a daily walk and exercise. Ryder is a dog who has a fun loving personality who is looking for a companion to spend time with. The suggested adoption donation for Ryder is $350. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2021 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $306,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. If needed, we will put you in touch with the owner if you have any questions.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal.
