Story
Feyre is in foster care and is not in the MHS building. If interested in adopting please contact us at info@midlandshumanesociety.org or fill out our application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CBIA/Dog Fayre is here to steal your hearts! She is seeking someone who can give her a couch to potato on and a yard to play in. You get the best of both worlds with her. She knows a few commands and is eager to learn more. She listens well and is easily treat motivated. Not sure how she is with cats or children but she warms up to everyone she meets right away. She has had play group time and did fine with other dogs but doesn't really play and prefers to have the attention from the two legged kind. She would do well with another laid back dog. We don't know why but she has been at the shelter since February. She just moved to a foster home and in her foster home she has been helping in the kitchen, lounging and cuddling on the couch, and sleeping all night in bed. You couldn't ask for a more deserving and grateful friend!

Story
Cypress (b. 6/2023) a boxer mix.  Cypress is all puppy.  He loves playing with his siblings, toys, and anything. He is a sweetheart who also loves cuddles. The suggested adoption donation for Cypress is $400. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2021 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $307,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Holly (b 6/2023) a Boxer mix is looking for her furever home.  Holly came into our rescue positive with the deadly Parvo virus.  She is currently fighting the good fight against Parvo.  When she is back to herself, we will update her bio with her personality and needs.  Please Note: Holly came to rescue Parvo+ and won’t be able to go to his furever home until (12/21/2023, which is 3 weeks from vet release date) as she will be “shedding” parvo until then.  We encourage you to still apply to adopt name of pet so we can start the process to adopt now! The suggested adoption donation for Holly is $465, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).
