Story
Sweetie is the definition of a people pleaser puppy. She’s incredibly smart and super easy to train, learning “sit”, “down”, “leave it” and “come” in just the few days she’s been here. She’s down for any and all adventures, as long as she can do them by your side. Checking the mail? She’s got you. Watering the flowers? On it. Farm chores? She’ll lead the way. She’s made best friends with all animals she’s met so far, big dogs, little dogs, cats, chickens, horses, basically if it’s got legs it’s her new best buddy. This girl knows how to PLAY. She loves fetch (bringing the ball all the way back is a work in progress, but her enthusiasm makes up for it), loves her toys, is a pro at puzzle toys and feeders, and enjoys a good run. Once she’s gotten her zoomies out though, she’s more than ready to curl up on the couch to recharge, and will happily hang out for a lazy day of binging Netflix. She’s working really hard on house training, and as long as she gets out every couple hours during the day she’s rock solid. We’re slowly increasing the time between potty breaks and it’s been going well. Need to leave for a while? She’ll crate 4-5 hours no problem and keep herself busy with a lick mat or kong. Right now, much more than that is still just a bit too big of an ask, but I have no doubt she could get there with a bit of consistency and time. She loves her beauty rest, consistently sleeping through the night curled up in bed with her people. Sweetie would be a phenomenal sidekick for anyone, she’s incredibly adaptable and ready to find her forever besties! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our application here: http://www.rchsks.org/our-animals/adopt-a-pet/adopting-a-dog. Story
Enzo is a Boxer Mix and Mocha is an Australian Shepherd. These dogs were owned by my brother and his family who resided in Americus, Kansas and raised these dogs from puppies. My brother is in the military and his family were re-stationed to the east coast and were unable to take their dogs with them. Due to this reason, the dogs are currently on my parents farm located north of Emporia, KS. The farm has livestock, including cattle and horses, and barn cats. Enzo and Mocha are not meant for farm life as they chase livestock and cats. Enzo is four years old and Mocha is three and a half years old. They are sweet and loveable, absolutely love car rides, are house-broke, kennel trained, and love to run and play. They are up-to-date on their shots and have been spayed and neutered with veterinary records available at East Emporia Veterinary Clinic. They do well with other dogs and children. They have been around children with ages varying from newborn to 14 years old.

Story
This cuties name is Poppy, shes an adorable pit-boxer mix that loves attention. We had gotten her about six months ago from Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka, Kansas, and were told she is approximately 2 years old (so 2 and a half now-ish). She needs someone who can give her love and affection; she will require all the cuddles on the couch and will show you that she wants belly scratches by lying in front of you, showing you her belly. Unfortunately, though, she is an escape artist; we have a chain-link fence around most of our yard, and she had dug her way out right under it. She does well on walks and is friendly to anyone weve introduced her to. She gets along with other dogs, unless food is involved. She will eat fine if both animals have food, but if a piece of food falls onto the ground, she will fight for it. She didnt do very well with our cats, unfortunately, but our cats are generally uncooperative, so it was to be expected. She loves to cuddle our kids, too.

Story
Sophi is a 3-year-old Pit Bull Terrier who’s deaf and looking for a patient, understanding home. She’s sweet, gentle, and loves being close to her people. Sophi has been around children, dogs, cats, and small animals and generally ignores other pets, making her a calm companion. Sophi is not yet fully house trained and will need consistent guidance and plenty of opportunities to go outside. She becomes stressed in wire kennels, so a home with alternative safe spaces and structure will help her feel secure. Deaf dogs respond beautifully to hand signals, routines, and positive reinforcement, and with some time and patience, Sophi will thrive. If you’re ready to provide a loving home, help her learn and grow, and give her plenty of outdoor time, Sophi could be the perfect companion.

Story
Miss Molly is a 8 year old, spayed female, pitbull mix. She was adopted from the Hays Humane Society in 2017 . Molly has grown up on a farm, but recently we had to move to town. Molly is a sweetheart with people, but cannot be trusted around other animals. She has never bit a human, but has attacked other dogs. Due to her aggression with other animals, I would not trust her around small children. This last time she attacked a dog after she got away from the dog walker/trainer while walking around our neighborhood. I have a walker/trainer work with her 3 times a week since April 2025. Molly is energetic and loves to run. I would love for Molly to find a home on a farm.

Story
Meet Copper, a 4-year-old Pit Bull/Blue Heeler mix. Copper is very loyal and loving with people he knows, including children of all ages, but he is cautious around unfamiliar people and takes time to build confidence. He has lived with multiple dogs and can play with the right companions, though he is protective of his home and shows food-related guarding. Copper knows basic commands, is crate trained, housebroken, and enjoys car rides. He can be skittish on leash and around new situations, but he responds well to consistent, patient guidance and positive reinforcement. Copper will do best with an experienced adopter who can help him continue building confidence, provide structure, and manage his cautious tendencies. With the right home, he can be a devoted and steady companion.
