When I adopted Luigi from the shelter I was in a position that I had additional help but my situation has since changed. Luigi has anxiety that needs more training and tending to than I have time available as I work a minimum of 10-13 hour shifts a day and don’t have the time to devote to him that he deserves and needs. He has all the potential to be a great companion if given the proper training. He’s a very loyal puppy and protective of what is his. He can also be so very sweet and loves cuddles. He’s very much a puppy and loves to chew on everything he can. Gets along with the dog in the house but needs a moment to warm up to strangers (dogs and humans). Any questions please feel free to ask, I will answer anything 100% truthful as I want him to succeed and he can only do that if he goes to a home that is prepared to take care of him in the manner he needs. Would thrive if he had a way to burn off. Lot of energy daily like a large yard or land.

Story
Approximately 6 year old female mixed breed dog. Came from a shelter 5 years ago. Due to schedules she is crated through the day. She is great with those that live in the household, including cats, and once introduced to others, becomes comfortable with them. Behavior issues include when she is able to get outside off lead, will dart out of the house and chase others if seen, jumping and barking at other people or dogs leaving her yard. She has not bitten anyone she had jumped at, but sounds aggressive. She is also protective of those in the household and a new person needs to be introduced in a controlled manner. She does have a skin condition and allergies on her back hide which requires seeing the vet at times. She is a loving dog, we believe she needs a bigger yard to run in, a more active family / owner that is able to do things with her a socialize her more. Currently in a home with 4 teen kids. Is house trained.

Story
Enzo is a Boxer Mix and Mocha is an Australian Shepherd. These dogs were owned by my brother and his family who resided in Americus, Kansas and raised these dogs from puppies. My brother is in the military and his family were re-stationed to the east coast and were unable to take their dogs with them. Due to this reason, the dogs are currently on my parents farm located north of Emporia, KS. The farm has livestock, including cattle and horses, and barn cats. Enzo and Mocha are not meant for farm life as they chase livestock and cats. Enzo is four years old and Mocha is three and a half years old. They are sweet and loveable, absolutely love car rides, are house-broke, kennel trained, and love to run and play. They are up-to-date on their shots and have been spayed and neutered with veterinary records available at East Emporia Veterinary Clinic. They do well with other dogs and children. They have been around children with ages varying from newborn to 14 years old.

Big Red came from a situation where he was on a property with lots if other dogs.  Some chained up and some roaming. He came in with lots of physical scars that have healed and we are working on the emotional scars. Due to his previous situation he does have some trust issues with men. It will take a man with lots of patience to break through the outer shell and show him the good side of people.  He does need some work on being comfortable with a leash and a tall fence since he can make it over a 4 foot fence.  He also will need continued work on potty training. Basically, he just needs someone to give him a chance. His foster said once comfortable he is a love. He does good with other dogs and may need one in the home to help him open up quicker.  He has been around cats and done fine.
