Meet Chief ! Your New Best Friend & Everyday Sidekick! Sometimes the best dogs are the ones who get overlooked. Meet Chief, a 6 year old Boxer/Pittie mix with a handsome white coat, adorable brown spots, a squishy bully face, and so much love to give. We can't figure out why this guy hasn't found his forever home yet! Chief is the perfect mix of chill and engaged. He's a medium-energy guy who enjoys his daily walks, neighborhood adventures, and spending time with his person, but he's not looking for a marathon-running partner! A good walk, some playtime, and quality time at home make him happy. And the best part? He doesn't need a fenced-in yard to live his best life! He's a wonderful walking companion with leash training foundation. He doesn't drag you down the street, making walks with Chief genuinely enjoyable. He's also a smart cookie who knows "sit," "crate," "place," "let's go," and "with me." He's food and praise motivated and would love someone who enjoys teaching him fun new tricks and commands. Chief has a playful side, too! He loves tennis balls and a good game of fetch. At home, he'll happily dig through his toy chest to find his favorite chew toys or a stuffie to cuddle with. And then there's his Kong. It's basically his emotional support toy! He's so obsessed with it that Kong time is reserved for his crate, where he can enjoy his favorite treasure. Chief is a total people lover. He enjoys meeting new people and is always ready to accept all the pets. He's also a BIG cuddle bug. If you let him, he'll happily crawl right into your personal space! Personal boundaries aren't exactly his specialty, but that's part of his charm. Fair warning: he snores, too! At home, Chief is crate trained, potty trained, sleeps through the night, and comfortably stays in his crate when his people are away. He currently goes to work with his foster mom, enjoys coffee runs (puppuccino included!), and absolutely loves car rides. As for other dogs, Chief does well with calm, low to medium energy pups. Sometimes he'll initiate a little play, but he's just as happy to coexist and do his own thing. He's not looking for a nonstop playmate and would also be perfectly happy as your one and only. Like many dogs, he's still building confidence around busier or fast moving surroundings and continues to make great progress with consistency and guidance. Because he's around 50 lbs and occasionally has some goofy moments, we'd recommend a home with adults or older kids (teens+). The bottom line? Chief is an affectionate, easygoing companion who doesn't ask for much. Give him daily walks, a little fetch, his favorite toys, some fun new things to learn, and a person to love, and you've got one happy dog. He's past the puppy chaos, has a wonderful foundation of house manners, and is ready to be someone's loyal sidekick. Could you be the person Chief has been waiting for?
